This kid is officially FIVE YEARS OLD and I cannot believe it. With Anderson, I have never felt surprised or sad about a new age; he always seems like he should be older than he is, but Max is my baby and just should not be allowed to grow up.
Max is everything. He is silly, destructive, sweet, stubborn, angry, hilarious, curious, adventurous, energetic, dangerous, picky, snuggly, demanding, clumsy, goofy and perfect. I truly cannot believe that I get to be this baby's Mama.
He still fully embraces all of his quirky outifts and every time I turn around, he is wearing something new. Also, Gabs.
He has not fully embraced sports but he does love the uniform and the snack.

This just really captures his laugh! At this moment, I was quoting from Jumanji to make him laugh. He loves it!
He brought tadpoles to school for Show & Tell one week and he was so excited to get to hold them first. Apparently, the whole class held them one at a time so I am sure they now have some version of shaken tadpole syndrome.

We kicked off the birthday week with the annual scavenger hunt that ended in a junk box!

On his actual birthday, I dropped off a bunch of cookies and popsicles at Noni's. She picked up Anderson and they visited Goddard where Max got to hand out the snacks!
Max had a t-ball game on his birthday and his team sang to him, which was super cute.
We hit up Blaze pizza for dinner (at 8pm.....because life) and were so lucky to have so many people join us!
Max is OBSESSED with Legos and the new Jurassic World sets are out, so he was totally spoiled! He was THRILLED!!!!!!
He requested a cookie cake and was PUMPED. He was so excited about the legos that he didn't even want any cake, though.
Their relationship is SO intense-all of the fighting but also all of the intensity in their balance of personalities. Max always defers to Anderson in decision making and Anderson quickly jumps on that chance. They were currently talking about the order of the lego building here.
