That time we bought a house with ZERO planning.

So, we bought a house. As in, one day we looked at a link of house with a long driveway....the next day we looked at it (separately) and the third day we made an offer, which was accepted.

There we were, under contract for possession of a new house WHILE STILL OWNING A HOUSE THAT WAS NOT READY TO BE SOLD.

We really do like to just live on the edge over here in the Glover house.

We began an incredibly fast-paced 11 days of cleaning, scrubbing, trashing, donating, fixing, painting, GETTING IT DONE to get our house ready. Max kicked off our fun by digging a giant hole in the backyard and continually destroying everything I cleaned.

Because she is amazing, Mom set us up for success immediately by bringing over a St. Joseph statue.

I stayed up late every night packing and sorting but the bulk of the work came on the weekend when I literally spent 14 straight hours de-living our house of the last 12 years. Max was always quick to jump in and assist with things. Mom also came over to assist and she was, unlike the Ferg, an actual assistant.

I found a few things that I just could not bring myself to completely get rid of, so I had to snap a few pics. I loved those girls and that whole time in my life.

Anderson's first pair of prescription sunglasses. Look at those tiny things!!
Also, this was a nice reminder that moving might be stressful but it has NOTHING on a patching toddler in glasses.

Mom saved all of our old game consoles and I love the memories of that Nintendo.

Again, Max was quick to jump in and spray water all over the place just to keep me on my toes.

SO many piles like this. I cannot stress this enough. I had trash piles, goodwill piles, garage sale piles, storage piles. To be honest, I was really in my happy place. ALL OF THE PILES!!!!!

Bless us all.

Brandon & rented a storage unit because we were really trying to make the house look less cluttered. It was, of course, sleeting on the day that we decided to fill it up so that was a nice touch on our plan.

We buried St. Joseph and said ALL of the prayers.

We hired someone to do some of the repairs around our house and my amazing parents sat at my house while he finished.

We had so many things to fix: multiple drywall holes (hey there, Max), nasty walls, an unpainted deck, a leaking shower head, weather stripping, doors, outside painting, etc. Brandon did quite a bit of it, but we were on a quick timeline and he works a lot so we had to bring someone in for some of it. I am glad that this part of the move is behind us.

More to come on the actual new house!
