Max is 3-the first celebrations!

Our baby boy, Max, Ferg, Mr. Pants, angel of my life has now officially turned 3....and subsequently lost his mind (more on that in a later post.)

Because we believe that life is way too short to NOT have multiple times to celebrate, we have completed rounds 1 & 2 of recognizing his entrance into the world. His party is not until later in May-more on that to come.

Also...his school pictures change my life every.single.time. How is that perfect blond haired, blue eyed baby MINE???
His bday happened to land a few weeks after the Glover Enchilada bash & we quickly jumped on the dinner as an early chance to celebrate him.

Also, because I must mention it-I got that Costo cake pictured above for free. The "it keeps getting more free" gods continue to smile in my favor.

To say he was happy to be celebrated is an understatement. Every kid in his class has a bday within a 2 week period and, since he was toward the end, he was anxiously awaiting his turn.

So glad that Lily was there to help him navigate the cake situation.

New toys from Great Aunt Donna,

and SO much enthusiasm over his new garbage truck from GG!

*Speaking of GG, you are seeing glimpses into her new house. She has been there approximately 3 months & ALREADY has it decorated to a level that I have not been able to take my house to in 10 years. We are happy because she is now EVEN CLOSER to us!

While I was away with the grandmas on Mother's Day, Brandon took the boys to Toys R' Us so that Max could pick out a present from us. He has never been and was, of course, beside himself. He picked out a play doh thing & Blaze toy.
Perhaps my favorite thing about him turning 3 is that he did his first scavenger hunt! I love this tradition & it was so fun watching how Max enjoyed it, too.

I stole an idea from one of Nicole's friends & gave him a "junk box" full of...junk.
It was definitely his favorite gift.

Thanks to Leap Year, his bday did NOT fall on Mother's Day and, even better, it was a Monday, so Noni had him all day. She checked Anderson out of school early (it's May, the learning is over) and they went to Texas Roadhouse & to see Zootopia.
I think it is safe to say that I get my love of a celebration honestly.

Please note the old man in the corner of the pic who is thrilled to be near the saddle celebration.

We celebrated his actual bday with another cake.
I love this pic of him-broken fire hat, real smile, funfetti cake in front of him and...his very first picture ever sitting behind him.

Side note-Noni bought him a new fire outfit (this one has been in the daily rotation since SEPTEMBER) and he said he did not want the "fancy" one.

Always grateful that the grandmas can stop by for cake on a Monday evening.

Noni found the perfect firefighter/Max card!

GG gave him another new truck-a firetruck! Anderson has benefitted quite a bit from his brother's bday, as well.

So many celebrations for our little firefighter tornado-we love you, Max!

  2. Is Anderson pretend putting out the candle? And the old man is the best part. Hahaha
His school pictures somehow keep getting better and better and not sure how that's possible.

Thanks for letting us crash the celebrations.
