truck! tractor!

Anderson is definitely a boy as he has some kind of genetic obsession with truck & tractors that has just started kicking in over the last month. It is so, so cute because he gets so excited about seeing one & will point & yell. It is a pretty handy addiction to have since they are widely available for us to stalk, especially since there is construction in Noni's neighborhood!
Fun toy from the Futchers!
Truck pjs that I bought a year ago! So glad that his interests feed into my clearance purchases. Also, all of the trucks pictured are from Aunt Manda, which is proof that she is a mom of boys. She knew this was coming.

Oh, heaven. Bop even lets him honk the horn!
Noni's backyard!

It's not a truck or tractor, but a shout out to the moose! It is so cute to read this book because he frantically points out the moose on every page. There are about 30 pictures of the moose, so this is a process.
He sees one! Seriously, we have to stop on the side of the road to watch the garbage men.
The Easter tractor at church! Well, I called it a tractor but Brandon said it is actually a backhoe. I guess I have to brush up on my tractor lingo.

the bunny & lots of eggs

Anderson woke up on Easter after a night of a 103.5 fever to find lots of goodies from the Easter bunny! We quickly realized that giving him 3 long sticks to hit people/dogs/furniture with was not the best idea, so the golf set has been put up for a little while. It was a "hit" while it lasted, though! Ha. Later in the day he received 3 more baskets from GG, Noni & Great Aunt LoLo. Here he is checking out the goods from his aunt. She clearly know the boy since she brought ducks, bubbles & a truck book! She also clearly knows me because she brought a bag of clothes!
Bubbles! Thank you, LoLo!

Even though it wasn't in a basket, Anderson found a present at church. Tractor!!
I know. Precious.

Literally the best picture I could get of his outfit. He refused to look up at all! I found this at a consignment store for $8 with the tags still on it! Toni found the shoes at another one. While I was trying to distract him at church I pointed out the giant Jesus on the cross & he started yelling, hi, hi! and waving. Was seriously adorable.

The highlight of the Easter Egg Hunt at church was yelling at every truck in the parking lot! Loudly.

He maybe missed the point of looking for the eggs at first, but he did find this really cool flower. He figured it out pretty quickly.

The cookie reward was the best part for Anderson!

And, the hug was the best part for Noni!

At our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt he figured out very quickly what to do and was pulling Brandon all over the yard. I love, love his franticness in this picture!

He spotted this one in the bush! This is huge because I didn't even see it & it's just proof that the Eye is working!

Cookie is one of the words he loves to say. Check out the Etsy appliqued shirt!

If this holiday was this much fun, I can only imagine what the next few years are going to bring!!

15 months, aunt manda style!

Thank goodness for Aunt Manda & her photography skills!

not sure who the boy without the glasses is...

My bug at 15 months:

** Weighs 22 lbs, which is the 15th percentile & measures 30 1/4 inches, which is the 25th. He is a little guy but the doc doesn't seem too concerned because it is in propotion to his height. Plus, this doesn't surprise me. The boy is ridiculously active all of the time & just doesn't have time to eat! He is a pretty picky eater & I really think it is because he is just curious & interested in everything & doesn't want to waste time sitting. Or, it is just because he is a toddler.

**RUNNING everywhere! Everywhere. He literally runs laps around the kitchen with this little stroller I got him at a garage sale. (It is not girly if he uses it to run over things/dogs) One of his favorite things to do is go up & down stairs & he tries to step one foot per step which really doesn't work because he is a toddler and the size of steps are really made for adults.

**Loves: trucks & tractors (he will point them out & gets so excited when he sees them-he's a lucky boy that Noni has construction in her neighborhood!), Chloe & Gabbi, drinking his bathtub water, bringing us our shoes & trying to put them on us, the Hot Dog song on Mickey Mouse, Bubbles, his wagon, the lawnmower/vacumm/weedeater/anything with a motor, climbing on stuff, a good tantrum when he is mad, playing tag with his pj pants after his bath, waving bye bye to everything, holding our hands, rocks, touch and feel books or books with pictures, taking off his glasses/patch when he wants something & we won't give it to him, using our silverware & our plates, completing chores (throwing stuff away, feeding the dogs, putting up the hamper-he helps with all of it! It maybe takes twice as long with his "help" but it is so worth it!)

**Dislikes: sleeping in socks, taking the time to sit down & eat, sitting in general, something on his hands(like food or something sticky), when we try to put the patch back on him, not seeing any trucks when we have waited for what seems like forever, having to get out of the bathtub, sleeping past 5am

**Words: Finally, proof that he is related to me-he talks a lot! His doc was very impressed with all of his words & that he knows all of his body parts (see below) He has started repeating what we say & it is precious! All kinds of random stuff from ding-dong to peach. Of course, it takes some interpreting skills but it is pretty fun. A few of his regulars are dada, mama, Bop, Gabbi, truck(this one is never said calmly), tractor, bubble, shoe, cookie, noni, byebye, hi, bath, rock, duck, quack, vacuum, here, key, banana, apple (he doesn't actually want to eat them, though), sponge bob (ba bob), mickey, train, choo choo, ruff ruff, moose (he has a book with a moose in it) and GG!!

Here is a video of him naming all of his body parts (minus the eyes-we try not to mention those so as not to bring attention to the patch).Good thing his Noni is such a good teacher! I might need to bring her to school with me to get my kids ready for the AP test.

I have got to stop taking pictures.

I got this fancy new phone that has a better camera on it than my actual camera so now I am literally trying to document every second of my child's life. As opposed to previously, where I had at least limited it to a minute by minute update.
Elizabeth got this for Anderson awhile ago to celebrate his staph infection! How hilarious!

I love, love buying stuff really cheap. The loot from our neighborhood garage sale-$12 total!

We went to Community Day at the YMCA & they had ducks! Anderson was literally in heaven.

They also had this little ride (which I apparently loved), moon bounces & a diaper race! Because it was rainy and not very crowded, every kid got an entire pack of size 4 Huggies diapers & wipes! And, because we have the kid in glasses/patch, we got 2 bags. I will milk it when I need to.

Speaking of milk, yet another perk of high school students-random projects where they make you pose like George Washington. Oh, sweet Chloe. This was actually a few weeks ago, but I went to pick her up at the groomer's & didn't see her. Then, I realized she was BEHIND the towel. Please notice the other dogs who were calmly sitting in their crates. The poor woman said that Chloe "would not stop barking", "wanted to go home with everyone" and "is very sassy." If by sassy, you mean awful then yes, you are right. (Kidding, you know I love my girl) Anderson went to his first baseball game & he continued his tradition of dancing at FHS games. Whenever the music came on he would stop & do some cool moves until the music stopped. Was precious, as always. Trying to get a pic with the cheerleaders. He was not interested. The vacuum obsession is quickly being replaced by a love of the lawnmower, weedeater, anything with a motor. Probably the cutest thing I've ever bought from etsy. (Not counting SpunkyLilyPad, of course) Love some glasses! We clean his glasses multiple times a day and yet...

bdays in bham

It wasn't our birthday, but I can't move the pics around so we are first. This might be the first picture we have together in 2 years. I am not sure why...it seems like we always have an extra few minutes to take one. Noah, enjoying a little playground time. Nicole did such a great job with Lily's 2nd party! Check out her blog for all of the pics of the cute decorations & little details she did with YoYoGabba. Lily is a lucky girl! Anyway, one of the cute things was these YoYo masks that she made. Brandon really enjoyed them. The birthday niece/nephew! We celebrated Kyler's at the Cheesecake Factory but I have no pictures because I was busy eating! He is 15 & I can't believe it! The cousins in glasses! It was so fun to spend more time with Shannon, Aunt Paula, Jacob & Morgan. Watching Jacob & Morgan is so much fun because it makes me think of Lily & Anderson in a few years. They are hilarious. Speaking of, someone is still obsessed with his older cousin. And, someone's older cousin does not share the feelings. Precious. Made by Nicole, of course! Kyler & Noah are training him early in lacrosse skills. Paintball shooting! Anderson's first experience with a power wheels. He loved it. Now, we just need to work on that turning thing! The real lacrosse players. Go, Noah! Aunt Manda not only spoiled the boy with clothes (including the shorts he wore to the party), toys and love, but she introduced him to ranch dressing! Gotta love her. Anderson is obsessed with Nicole. He always wants her when I am holding him. I am not sure if he is confused or just realizes that she is the godmother. She did give him his first dum dum, so that might be part of it. Also, you can kind of see his skinned knees from falling at the playground. Such a boy! Loves his Lily.
Probably my favorite part of the weekend-Noah's card to Kyler.
