Max's Black Eye

We were not able to go on our Thanksgiving trip because Anderson got the flu at a terrible time. This meant that we spent WAY TOO MANY UNPLANNED HOURS at our hours, which led to...Max getting a black eye.

We still do not know what actually happened, but I credit it to raising intense boys.

The above pic was about an hour after Max said that Anderson hit his eye. He never even stopped playing, so I never expected anything to be wrong.

*Also, Pieces surprised us that day & Max was pumped!*

This was about 2 hours later...still not too bad.

Hilariously, I thought this looked bad. Little did I know...

Look at it hanging over his eye.

Seriously.

The next morning.

It looked so awful that we kept giving him random treats to somehow make it better.

His teacher sent me this pic on Monday (it happened on Friday night.)

I got really nervous & took him to the eye doctor just to make sure he as ok-he was!
Thanks to Noni for helping me get him there so I did not have to miss too much work.

He has a black eye in EVERY holiday pic for 2019.

I love this kid so much and, now that he is ok, I can say that I am not at all surprised that this colorful addition was part of his childhood.
