Anderson's 1st Tackle Football Season: an update

I was going to wait until the end of the season to do this post, but I just have way too many pics to wait, so I am doing a mid-season post.

I love this picture of him SO much. Watching your baby do something that he truly loves is the most rewarding experience of this parenting journey and I have loved, loved, loved being a part of it.

This might be my favorite picture of all of them.

His team...sideways.

We spend a lot of time with these kids. They have practice 2-3 days a week, sometimes multiple games a week and even attend events together.

Of all of the things that I am grateful for, I swear that Brandon as a football dad is at the very top of that list. Listening to the 2 of them discuss stats and plays, watching them practice and, most of all, leaving all of the uniform/equipment ordering up to him has been amazing.

One of my favorite moments of the season was when all 15 of them converged on the Chick-Fil-A play place between games.  I am pretty sure that the rest of the people eating there at that time were not quite as amused. It was so funny.

Their coach was trying to make them rest between games and anyone who moved had to do 25 push ups. It was hilarious.

I do just love these moments of huddles.

Brandon had to miss a few games, which left me attempting to get all of the pieces on Anderson. These times made us even more grateful for Brandon's presence.

Love these 3 generations!

He always has such a supportive cheering section.

My trunk one Saturday-t ball equipment, football equipment and the proton pack.

Their team won 3 bowl games-against Central, Hardin Valley and Central again...

One Thursday he wore his jersey to school and this is the only pic he would let me take. He was SO proud, especially when the high school players happened to be opening doors and were high fiving him. Precious.

Another favorite-thanks to Nicole for this one. #goldstar

The team went to the UT home opener and got to go on the field before the game!

I think the sunglasses were provided as a prop.

Brandon and I, of course, rocked matching shirts to cheer on #25!

Another Mom totally upped the snack game one week.

Because they won a game or scored a lot of points or something I cannot remember, the coach took all of them to DQ.

Right there. I maybe immediately picked up 14 copies.
