Mother's Day

As always, we had an amazing Mother's Day! We are so fortunate to have our favorite moms,Noni & GG, living just down the road from us. Of all of the good fortune that I have had in my life, having grandparents close by is probably my favorite.

Max made me this card at work that he took a lot of time to color on-I could really feel the love. Speaking of "taking pictures," he refused to take this one, but Gabbi was all about helping out the cause. Also, we don't really take that many pics together, but his preschool wanted a pic of each kid with their mom and, because Max refused to cooperate, it took about 17 tries before I finally got one with him halfway smiling.

I do love my little firefighter.

Speaking of the grandmas...here we are!
Brandon was so amazing & watched the boys so that the 3 of us could get pedicures & eat lunch.
So amazing. I am so grateful that my husband recognizes how important/exhausting being a mom is and always does a perfect job taking care of his own and me!

Also, these women are the reason for my sanity. Equally as important, they are the reason for our house, because without them helping with the kids all of the time, I could never have an actual job, which means we would be homeless. Or, I guess it means we would be living with one of them, so now I see the real reason why they help so much...

Love you, both!

Max made this for me at school.
Y'all. He loves me more than monkey.
My job here is done; there can be no higher honor.

Anderson's teacher is so thoughtful and had each kid make this cute canvas of handprints.

Grateful for all of my people and my status as mom.

  1. We might all need to start thinking about fixing our hair every now and then. Just every so often...
