A few weekend adventures

The last 2 weekends:

Anderson does not discriminate when it comes to his love of sports. For example, he has taken up hockey since GG gave him this stick last year. He would love if we signed him up for hockey, but there are only so many seasons that a kid can play sports. And, that whole ice skating thing seems pretty challenging, too.

Brandon surprised us with Ice Bears tickets to a game he was working and we had so much fun! Hockey games are an experience, I learned. A fun, but interesting/people watching experience.

Because Brandon is amazing, he got us on the ice (floor, really) to see the players! They are pretty big in person.

We possibly did a little posing in the locker room, as well! Oh, and Anderson got a REAL hockey puck that he is still obsessed with and brought to Show & Tell for I week. It was actually perfect timing because what else was he going to think of to bring for I?

In another amazing, free twist, Clare & I; hit up the Aquarium because it was free for teachers & their kids! Max had SUCH a blast and loved all of the fish. He seriously had the most fun of all of us, I think. It was precious to watch his excitement.

He thinks he is one of the boys.

Anderson loves to touch everything.

These 2 are my favorites.

As, are these two. (not the random girl in the corner-I am not sure who she is, but the cute blondies)

They had a tank with those fish that eat the dead skin off of you & this kid was obsessed. It was when he was about ankle deep in the water that the employee decided to tell all of us that they spread E coli. So, that was nice.

We have done some swimming at the Y on weekends because Anderson loves to swim and, since it is winter, we MUST find outlets for his energy. Actually, on this day he also had football for a few hours, now that I think about it. You can never have too much physical exercise when you are a 5 year old boy.

Home Depot project with the Brimers. Brandon does these so much better than I do because I always lose a nail or don't completely read the directions, so we love when he tags along.

A visit to Bop at IHOP!!

Petting some kind of lizard at a toy store. There are so, so many hours in a day and we will hit up every activity we can find.

I LOVE when Max says, "It will bite you!" about things and the sharks and lizards were definitely in his biting category.

Last Sunday, Max lasted exactly 10 minutes in the church nursery before they texted me to say they were out of ideas to calm him. I 100% anticipated this text and actually circled my name on the sign in sheet so they could find me easier when they needed to call. I am his favorite and I am ok with this. Plus, hang out time with Goose!

We went to the park with the other deliriously giddy parents (WE CAN GO OUTSIDE! NO SNOW!) and Max promptly fell asleep in the swing. I don't know why because he only wakes up and screams for an hour in the middle of the night, every night. And an hour at bedtime. And still wakes up at 5:30. You would think he would be rested.

  1. Max and "it will bite you." Please just raise Levi, because I am 100 percent sure that neither of my kids even know what a lizard is or that animals bite. We tend to focus on kittens, puppy dogs, and butterflies around here.

    Also, max alseep. Cracking up.

E colI? What the hell? Although, did that make it even more appealing to Anderson?
