Random Life.

Brandon worked about 6 months straight and the boys & I were a bit desperate to occasionally have a change of scenery, so we hit up ChickFilA on more than one occasion. Max cannot quite climb up the inside playground by himself, but he always has an older brother looking out for him. (Until the older brother got distracted with some older kids and then I became the pusher as I climbed halfway into the playground.)

My cabinet. This is what it always looks like and I am ok with this. It is safe to say that my house is almost always pretty clean, organized, everything in it's place, etc. I am such a planner that I had my Christmas cards ordered and addressed in October, Anderson's birthday party invitations have been addressed for a month (also, all of the goodie bags are ready, too....) and I am generally just really borderline annoying with things like that. But...I need my messy cabinet. I like the craziness and disorganization. I like that it is a sign that I have given up in trying to keep it organized when Max is just going to destroy it again anyway. For some reason, this restores my balance.
I just wanted to document this.

Best Bop ever.
Anderson loves, loves going to all sporting events with me. The boy is definitely into his sports.
Speaking of, notice that football tucked into his arms? Always.

Also, he was so excited to point out to me that the light from the window was the shape of Tennessee.  #vfl
One really nice day we went to the library and hung outside having a snack, reading our books. It was awesome and made me really like parenting.
Then we met up with the Brimers where the boys read books...and left us alone, which is really all we wanted out of the day.
Sweet little Kennadee! I cannot believe she is almost 1!!

I love nothing more than watching Max so focused on wheels of any kind, always without pants.
Reese came to visit us for a few days where she twirled her hair, loved on her Sissa and wore Max's clothes. All in all, a successful time.
I randomly had to go to Philadelphia for a conference last week and I managed to take one picture, capturing the essence of West Philadelphia.
I basically spent most of my days there on the playground. You know, shooting some b-ball.

Brandon & Noni did not miss a beat while I was gone and carried on raising the boys. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful husband who supports my craziness, both personally and professionally.
He even got Anderson's new lenses in his glasses! This is way more of a process than adult glasses because the only pediatric place in Knoxville is downtown with hours that equate to about 3 a day where they are actually open. (It is 2014,  please have a late evening or a weekend option! People are working during the day! ) Anyway, Brandon had to take A to school, the glasses downtown and the glasses back to him at school. Super dad.

Look this cutie without glasses with his show & tell for F!

We celebrated Bop's birthday! Because I am not what one would call a "cook", I went the "thoughtful" route and got him olives with a candle. Deliciousness and thoughtfulness. Win-win.

We also celebrate Mom's birthday (more celebration to come later) and she let Max share the candle fun.

And, we had a double take where Anderson got to participate, too. I love this pic of them. This boy loves his Noni.

I love the ease of entertaining boys. All you really need is outside.

We went to a cookie swap party and this was my contribution. My defense was that I had been out of town for 3 days, got home close to midnight, got up and had Anderson's first basketball game, cleaned my house and celebrated my dad's birthday before going to the party, but the real reason is that I just don't enjoy baking. And, let's be honest, these were the real hit of the party.

  2. I was JUST telling my husband the same thing about boys...."All I need is Royce to be outside and all is balanced in my life!!! There is no whining, no crying from him, etc." Unfortunately for ROYCE he has a pansy mom and sister who hates the cold. I need spring to come. haha
I love the tupperware cupboard. that's funny, but awesome that you know WHERE to let go.
Anderson looks so old without his glasses on!!!!! And of course, handsome.

  3. I too enjoy a messy Tupperware cabinet. In 27 years of marriage, working, raising a kid, 3 dogs and a hubby who works night shift, is an organized Tupperware cabinet really that important in life? Love you!
