Max-4 months!

This guy: sweet, crazy hair, blue eyes, chubster tummy, gummy grin, precious face and FOUR MONTHS!!
He is loving to chew on everything right now. And, unlike with Anderson where I was very careful about only providing clean toys, Max gnaws on whatever random thing is laying near him.
Lots of grins and crazy hair around here.
He is continuing to look more and more like his Bobble everyday. said nobody ever

It is time to being my favorite hobby of all time, which is placing babies in random places, like the hamper.
Even perfect kids have grumpy times occasionally. How cute is he, though?? ( Who gave us this toy? It is his favorite!)
We started cereal! He LOVES it. Seriously. Cannot wait for more variety with the food. Right now we are just doing rice cereal at night.
There is always an audience for this baby. Bobble, Big brother, Chloe, the Lorax and the photographer Dad!
The stats. For the record, Anderson never hovered anywhere near the 50th%ile, so this is pretty big stuff.

This guy at 4 months:
-According to his Noni, he loves to eat and demands a bottle every 3 hours on the dot.
-He has really stopped taking consistent naps because we ripped the swing away from him. I loved that darn swing and am so sad they don't make them in bigger sizes.
-Still likes the pacifier. Doesn't love it as much, but it will work sometimes.
-Goes to bed between 7:30-8:15 and wakes up between 6-6:30. Oh, and at 12, 2 and 4. And, sometimes 11, 3 and 5. Seriously, he wakes up at least twice in the middle of the night, sometimes 3 times. Here's the kicker and how I know I really, really love this kid...I don't mind. I sort of enjoy the snuggle time that is just the two of us. I miss him so much during the day that I don't mind an extra few minutes of love in the middle of the night.Anderson still wakes up a few times, too, so we are just bonding all over the place.  Don't get me wrong, I am pretty much a walking zombie, but I am a happy Walker, so there's that.

**As tired as I am now, I am nowhere near  as I was when Anderson NEVER slept. EVER. I can function on 4 hours of interrupted sleep like nobody' business because for over a year Anderson was the worst sleeper ever. He still needs a nap, but can't really take one because he will up until midnight and does not sleep through the night. BUT...I am not sleeping on his floor, waking up every 10 minutes to carry him back to his room, dreading the grumpy evenings, etc. Point is, a 4 month old who wakes up a lot has nothing on a patching all day-grumpy as heck-his Bobble is sleeping on his floor because the alternative is zero sleep-Anderson. Boom.

-Back to Max...crying it out at bedtime is taking awhile. It seems like we make progress and then he regresses. I believe in it, so we will carry on. I am going to make him sleep through the night (or, cry through the night...) at 5 months, I think.

-He still has mostly breastmilk, but definitely supplementing with formula. He spits up a lot (way more than Anderson ever did) and I should probably consider the spit up formula but I have all of these free samples of the regular kind, so the kid might have to trooper it up.

-He has torticollos, which means we have to do little neck exercises with him a few times a day. You should've seen me taking notes at the doc...What is it?...what do we have to do? Do we need a second opinion?...Ok, so how often do we do these exercises?...10 seconds? Ok, so 10 seconds a minute?...10 seconds 8 times a day...that's only 1 minute and a half....this is not a real problem. iPerspective

-THANK GOD for this boy's grandparents who love on him like nobody's business while I am at work. Love, love, love them!

-He LOVES Anderson, his Daddy, chewing on anything & everything, Gabbi, being in the bathtub, eating cereal, pooping, being so darn perfect that he melts my heart

-He does not like sleeping consistently. I seriously think that might be his only dislike. #perfect

  1. Love that baby boy... He is perfect really. When he grins, he looks like a totally different baby. Also, on a side note, his Big Brother is so protective and sweet to him.

  2. I need more pictures of this boy - especially since he is eating food! He is adorable and perfect and I'm gonna go ahead and claim responsibility for his favorite toy...even though i don't really know if we gave it to him or not :) Lucy had so much fun playing footsie with him during Mass today! Love that boy!

I did not get him that toy, but I am going to tell him that I did next time.

The possible second opinion on the torticollos...hahahaha

Nothing is worse than the older one not sleeping. Oh, except maybe the older one not sleeping and needing an eye patch all day.

Love the one of him grinning with the 4 sticker. Are those like little lip dimples? Above his lip? They are really cute. Also, how the hell were Toni's genes so strong that she got 3 boys AND now 2 grandsons? What are we doing wrong?
