the weekend on the cheap.

Lily came to visit for the weekend & we had a pretty epic 2 days.
Poor Pads. As Nicole said, "She likes her space." Well, Anderson likes his Yilly, so it is sort of a bad match. He is obsessed with her.
Look at the grin of adoration.
Credit at McKay=new/free books (Anderson did not get "Where the Wild Things Are" because Clare already gave it to him & he loves it so much he saw it and demanded the monster book!)
Teacher IDs/Mom getting a Grandma Pass=awesome free time at the zoo (not for mom, but she is ok with it, I think)

This is the most alive the zebra looked during the visit. It sort of passed out after this. How cute is the zebra outfit Mom got Lily?
Carousel fun. (Anyone else notice how I sort of abandoned my child for the niece? See, it really is like she is my daughter!)
Anderson's favorite part of the Kids' Area was selling me stuff. I have taken him to Target too many times.

This elephant was so close to us! I wanted to touch his trunk. Anderson told me he worked with the elephants when at the zoo, so it was exciting to see one so close.
The otters!

Noni frantically waving/taking pics of us on the carousel. Of course.
How fun are the 3 of them?
Anderson Glover, goat whisperer.
FREE ice cream at Bruster's if you wore your pajamas!! How perfect-3 of my favorite things: ice cream, jammies & FREE!! Gotta love my mom for getting in the spirit.
Green ice cream, of course. He is OBSESSED with all things green. St. Patrick's Day might change his life.
Really awesome chalk drawings with Dad.

 Watching Dora.
Green doughnut from Dunkin Donuts! I randomly got a free drink/doughnut card from them for my birthday (it's not my birthday) and we put it to good use. I asked A what kind he wanted and he, of course, said, "Green!". Pretty good timing that he chose green to be the favorite during March.
Awesome gravel area at my mom's.

*End note: it appears as if this was one really long day based on the fact that they are wearing the same clothes, but Lily refused to change & Anderson demanded the power shovel shirt when he saw it in the dryer after I washed it. We do occasionally bathe our children/ do laundry.

  2. Love the look of adoration!!! The watching Dora one is my favorite, though.

We may buy that house JUST so boy can come play in the mud pit. Bobble cole needs to step it up with some alone time with him.

  3. Can't believe your mom walked around the Knox zoo. That place is a torture chamber for us "well endowed all over" people. I know it was designed to wear the kids out, so really you need to ditch the strollers.

  4. P.S. love the togetherness of Anderson and Lily reminds me of how Jacob was obsessed with Morgan (until we realized it was not love but the beginning of the male hormone that loves to tease girls....)
