Some pics.

This post is sort of an odd compilation of pics from the last few weeks.
The beginning of Lent. Let's just say someone's no-nap schedule does not work well with 6pm mass. But, that same someone was very proud of his ashes. He wanted to see his reflection all night & kep pointing to his forehead. Love a little Catholic.
A few weeks ago Brandon asked Anderson what he wanted to do that day and he said, "Go to Target & get a green truck!". Because we totally believe in spoiling our kid, we went and the only green truck was a garbage truck. He was just as happy with the fuel tanker & now both of the loudest trucks he owns have to sleep in his bed every night. This was one of the last nights he could watch Dora (he loves Dora-shout out to Molly!) before bed because our TV sort of blew up. Or a part of it blew up, I guess. We were sans TV for a week or so until Samsung sent someone to fix it. Apparently there is some part that was on a sort of recall. The repair guy did say that ours was the worst he'd seen, which was nice. I like to win a competition, even if I didn't know there was one.
Crazy bathtub hair. Love the eyes.
He finally has the entire ABC train puzzle, which he "won" from lots of potty trips. There are still quite a few accidents, but he is doing so well. And, after a trip to a not very helpful dermatologist and about 15 prescription/over the counter medications, his chapped butt skin is starting to improve! We seriously have so many lotions, creams, etc. in our house that we bought in a desperate attempt to improve his skin. Cortaid has actually worked best on his face.
Anderson is obsessed with Jack. How fun is this pic?
Because I am a total worrier (I get this from my mother, it is not my fault), I called my mom when we were supposed to get a tornado & told her to go in the crawl space. And, she did....I blame Nicole because after the tornado in AL last year she told me that some people only survived by going in their crawl space. So, naturally, I never forgot that and freaked out. After a bit of rain, it is safe to say everyone survived.
Picnic in the crawl space! Love my parents.

Pops made a "Go Vote!" motorcycle man for Election Day!
Sort of blurry, but Anderson has become Brandon's helper with yard work and garage stuff. Gabs is always along for the ride, too.
Playing on GG's porch. This boy loves going to his GG's where he gets to play with a crazy assortment of tractors, trucks, trains and other construction equipment. His favorite is a huge garbage truck. He also gets to be rocked (snuggled) and have snacks. I usually leave with new clothes for him & extra coupons,so it's a win-win for both of us!
Aunt Clare bought Anderson "Monsters, Inc"! He had quite an assortment of dvds from Aunt Manda & Cousin Shae (Mostly, Jacob!! Hey JACOB!!), but he is loving his monster time now that our tv is fixed. He is in a trance. I also love this movie because there are so many different eye combinations. If anything is going to teach Anderson that it doesn't matter if you have 1, 2, or 17 eyes, it is this. Love. (Well, this and Mad Eye Moody...)
Look closely & you'll see a cheerio in his glasses. It fell there & was just sort of hanging out!

  1. Submit that picture of him with the wet hair in the next 'baby contest'. He will win, he is such a model.

  2. I want to comment on all of them... Great picture post. Bathtime is always fun. I get to see Austin's face. Love the cheerio picture! I always freak out a little (ok a lot) when there is a bad storm/tornado possibility. So I get that. I am sorry about the no nap. My first son was like that. He needed very little sleep compared to Austin. I feel your pain. It got better when he went to kindergarten. I think it wears him out. ?? Who knows? Or maybe he is getting old enough to enjoy sleep. I know that doesn't help you right now though.

  8. The cheerio pic cracks me up!!! We take pics of cheerios in odd places as well, too funny. Like everyone else of course, I too think Anderson is beyond adorable in the bathtub! So handsome. Tub time is so precious, especially for us now with the glasses. I either see him patching or with the glasses on. I love him any and all ways but it's like I have 3 versions of the same amazing little boy. ;)
