We went to Dollywood today & it was so much fun, as usual! We found a new car ride, ate french fries & freaked out every time we saw or heard the Choo Choo train.

I love Dollywood. In so many ways it reminds me of Chick Fil A. It is clean, efficient, kid friendly, hospitable, fun & cheap if your mom buys you a season pass. Seriously, every time we go we find new stuff that we have never seen & it is always decorated for the seasons.

Best pic I could get of Anderson & Noni.

Best pic of me with the Bug. He does not, by any means, cooperate for pictures. I don't know why. I only try to take one or two hundred a day, you'd think he would work with me.

So, I am assuming that 99% of people have never given any thought to the fact that the carousel goes counter clockwise. I know this is true because every time I see one I am hoping it is the one that goes the other way so Anderson can actually see the people waving with his peripheral vision. Petty, I know. He will never notice this, I am sure. But, then again, he is not a mom & we have special vision. ("vision!")

We got to see Jpa today! Well, I have seen him recently, but since he was in and out of the hospital the last few weeks Anderson has missed him quite a bit. I told him that Jpa was sleeping & that's why we couldn't go over there. So, now whenever we leave our house I hear this, " GG? Bu-Pa? No. Bu-Pa nite nite." He was so pumped to get to see his Bu-Pa today! Also, I meant to post the caringbridge site but forgot. Here it is
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/forjack if you want updates on J-pa. And, if you live in Knoxville & want to sign up to participate in the Buddy's Race in honor of Jack, here is a link
http://tcscfoundation.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.team&eventID=503&teamID=5207 . It is a crazy looking link, so if it doesn't work you can just search for Team Jack on the Buddy's site.

We took him to a FHS soccer game this week where he won everyone's hearts by singing & clapping during the Star Spangled Banner, stealing balls from the field & taking up the walkway by repeatedly climbing up and down the stairs.

Bathtub fun. I will never cease to be shocked at what he looks like without his glasses/patch.

I love that he is eating bubbles. Funny.
ReplyDeleteI want to go to Dollywood with him!
I want to go to Dollywood too!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have never noticed it before but the carousel in the mall here goes counterclockwise too.
I also can't believe they way he looks without his patch, but I think he is adorable either way!
I know what you mean about the patch. Something felt "off" about the pictures above, and I really had to concentrate to figure out what it was. He looks like such a big boy in the pictures without it. I am astounded at how much he looks like Brandon. I love his spirit.
ReplyDeleteHe is Brandon's "mini-me" without the glasses - more & more every day
ReplyDeletelove dollywood. dolly parton rocks. oh, i might be wrong, but if memory serves me correctly, the carosel at the wolfchase mall goes the "right" way for anderson...
ReplyDeleteI love all of the pictures. I love the one with him taking off with a pumpkin. He is a cutie. Also nice bubble goatee. :)
ReplyDeleteWe definitely have special mom vision, I should have known I wasn't the only one! ;) I notice stuff like that all the time. I try to make up for it but sometimes its unavoidable, just another one of those moments that tug at your heart and then you move on. Looks like he made up for it on his own though in the pic, he's got his head all extra turned! Yay! I too am a fan of Santa in the tub!!!
