Christmas in Alabama!

Isn't there a song that is by Alabama about Christmas? Something about Christmas & Dixie? That is pretty fitting since we saw the Dix this week! Anyway, we went to Bham where Anderson got 1 or 2 presents. Ha.

While this is precious, I am a little terrified of our house in about 3 years. They are totally plotting something.

Godfather!

Christmas for Gabs!!

Big Cousin Noah! I really wish we had him around because he totally entertains Anderson & even lets him climb up and down the stairs repeatedly.

Godmother! Aunt Cole knew just what he needed-Scout, first crayons, clothes, lots of snuggles...
Somehow none of the 3 of them could figure out where to look. Anderson was SO excited about the carousel. He was literally trying to jump out of my arms while we were in line!

Loving Aunt Manda!! The toys, clothes and even fun squirty food things that Aunt Manda picked out were so fun. She always has a knack for finding something perfect.

Annual lottery ticket distribution. We are all millionaires now.

Uncle Hughes & the UT present. Always.

Noni the multitasker.

He already knows to drive the car around & say "vroom" . Brandon has taught him well.

That multitasking thing again.

Lily passed the house on to Anderson! It is awesome! Speaking of awesome, I LOVE this girl!! She can say "Sis" now and she pulls your hand to play with her. I think she might be Anderson's first love, as well. He is obsessed with her.
bug!

Playroom, cousins...life is pretty perfect.

He LOVED the ball pit! To be honest, I kind of love it too.

My favorite first!

Oh, wow! This holiday has definitely been my favorite of Anderson's firsts! He makes every day better & Christmas was no exception! He is the MOST loved boy of all time, I think. The presents & love from grandparents, aunts, uncles, Santa...it was craziness.

Shockingly, I didn't even have to special order this. "Salvaggio" is the standard name on the rug since it's so common. New toybox from NoniBop! And, it was full of presents!

Shout out to Jeremy who had the same Christmas outfit!

Anderson is really not spoiled at all. For example, I think his Great Aunt LoLo only gave him 8 presents. It really was hilarious as we kept pulling them out from behind the tree-clothes, pjs, toys, sippy cups...

Does my 11 month old look gigantic here? He also looks thrilled to be with me, so that's nice. And, how much does he literally not look like me at all?

Taking some steps! Maybe it was Santa on the phone?

All of the new toys & he was drawn to the piece of paper.
I think Brandon was all Anderson needed for Christmas.

Not only did he get his own presents, but Great Aunt LoLo shared her presents with him!

I guess Curtis was on the nice list because he got what he really wanted!

Uncle Andrew, lights & Santa!

Probably my favorite pic! I love his excitement and the fact that he is such a good sport with the patch situation. This is Rody-a toy Brandon found that is supposed to be perfect for 1 year olds. It also holds adults, so that's fun for us!

They both got stockings! I guess that bit about coal in your stocking if you were bad isn't true.
Georgie!! He brought a remote control police car that terrifies Anderson. So, that's nice.
Wagon from Pappaw!! We just took turns pulling him around the room all night. He loved it!

I love a picture present. Fortunately, so does Toni!

Out of all the presents, sitting in GiGi's lap is the best!

Twas the night before Anderson's first stocking....

Getting ready for the big day. Craft from school!

10 minutes is forever when you're 11 months old.

The best Christmas present in the world.

Dear Target, please get these car carts. Thank you, your faithful servant.

To help everyone get in the spirit, we brought Anderson to the FHS basketball game dressed as Santa. Because it was a million degrees, he lost some of the outfit but kept the rosy cheeks. My favorite part: during the Star Spangled Banner the only voice that was heard was his. It was hilarious as everyone turned to look at the precious, America loving, Santa baby.

Because it's Christmas Eve and Brandon & I are beyond excited, he got an (another) early present! He really likes it and so do we because I am pretty sure that Santa only paid $1 for it a consignment sale. As for the outfit, he can't decide if he is committed to Santa or the Vols. Based on their season this year, I am thinking Santa is going to win out.

Another shot from the Santa visits last week. Once he realized Santa knew how to do high five, there was a little more tolerance. Just a little.

To make Anderson feel like we are truly a family of pirates, Brandon & I wore the adult pirate version. Please notice the pirate bear in the background. Just another reminder of how weird the pirate obsession/eye patch thing is. Thank you Jessica for the bear-he seriously LOVES it!

The cheerleaders ate at IHOP after volunteering at the Empty Stocking Fund distribution (anyone who is looking for a good cause to donate to/volunteer at I highly recommend it!) and Pops showed up to make balloons for everyone!
