My first week back was pretty uneventful and by Friday it was like I had never left! My students are fun and were very welcoming even though the unit I started back with was the Gilded Age, which might be the least interesting time in history. If only Anderson was born a few weeks earlier, we would have been on the Civil War-much more interesting. To make me feel better after being at work (and for that Gilded Age business) Brandon made me fun desserts when I got home like the strawberry situation above. Yay.

When he wakes up from his naps, he calls us with his Canadian "Ayyyy" and when we go in there he is all smiles. So stinkin cute. In case you're wondering, he is all wrapped up in his swaddle...believe in the swaddle.

He got his first book from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library this week!! A free book a month until he is 5. Dolly, you are my hero! The little engine was working so hard, Anderson got tired.

That little engine just kept working....exhausting.

Thank goodness the engine finally made it. He couldn't stay awake any longer. Seriously, I looked up and he was asleep. Hilarious.

Next time I picked a less tiring book. Me, Anderson and the Lorax. What an afternoon.

Meanwhile, Chloe got groomed and looks festive for St.Patrick's Day! She also found some random bone piece in the yard and tried to sneak it in thinking I would be distracted by the bandana cuteness. No luck, fat girl.

Oh my gosh he is so precious! I signed up for Dolly's books but she has shafted me, I haven't gotten one yet! Anyways, your boy is too darn cute and i am jealous they make tons of mommy love stuff for boys, it's all daddy love on girl stuff.
ReplyDeleteYou were right- love the smile pics! The swaddle one is the best, because of the smile, how much he looks like his daddy, and because of the swaddle. The beauty of it just radiates. I love the reading time, too. He was more focuced than my students usually are! So cute, too. I miss 2 month old Anderson!!! (and I agree- the Daddys get all of the love with the daughters!).
ReplyDeleteAnd, I love my Worms, of course.
I do love some Dolly. Jeremy looks in the mail when he gets home every day just in case. The Little Engine that Could was his favorite for MONTHS. I can recite it in my sleep (and have).
ReplyDeleteDo you think Brandon will come to my house to handle my monster and make me desserts?
Brandon, I never doubted it..I knew you would be great.. The dessert looked awesome.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so cute in his outfit....and the story about the book was so funny...I can't wait to see him and you and everyone. Love to all.
Oh my gosh little Anderson in his swaddle is just so adorable! What a beautiful baby boy! I also love reading time! I don't have any kids around me so I guess I'll start story time with my cat. She will be like Nicole's students I'm afraid. :-)
