ONE Month!!

I cannot believe that my preciousness is a month old.

Things I have learned in the first month....

1. All of the stories you hear about newborns from other people that you think won't apply to your baby...yea, they're true.

2. It's amazing how little sleep is actually required to not just survive, but function! There definitely have been some bad days (such as the day I ate at ElMezcal obviously forgetting that what I eat, he eats....the day I was envious of people who were pushing their snooze buttons becaue they were getting 9 minutes of sleep...) but overall I am really impressed that we have been able to keep everything going on such inconsistent, sporadic sleep

3. I LOVE the baby bjorn carrier!! It really is the only thing that allows me to get anything done (wearing him right now!) I'm thinking the boppy newborn lounger might be on the list soon...

4. Our family is amazing. If it weren't for grandmas (shout out to Noni & GG) and aunts (Manda/Cole:) listening to my daily updates I think I would go crazy! You know you're lucky when you have multiple people who are willing to put down whatever they are doing to hear a minute by minute run down of the night.

5. I never want to know life without this perfect little person. I am still in shock at the extraordinary amount of love I'm capable of feeling. I swear I miss him when he is sitting in the carseat in the back and I am driving. I just want to stop and get a snuggle. I actually did that once in the pizza hut parking lot, which is a little psycho.
