Max: Kindergarten

First school picture. He loves that UA shirt. We bought it in Chattanooga over Fall Break on clearance and he swore he would wear it all of the time & it has been a staple, for sure.

Max's Parent Conference Form is my favorite. She referred to him as a "bull in a china shop" and it was fabulously accurate.

ABC Boot Camp Day! This was the HIGHLIGHT of his year, for sure. He had so many layers of camo on and so much extra camo gear shoved in his backpack...he was so happy, despite appearances.

This is part of his ABC Book & I just loved his drawings!

Max's friend list.

Noni fixed his hair one day and he was the most handsome.

Fall Baseball Team

He drew this one night-love.

LOVE his little sport pics.

Mama. Max. The best.

His little class.

His homework: We can play. I am Max & Marley.

Progress Report from the Fall.

His self portrait: the camo.

Posing with Mrs. Johns on the pumpkin patch field trip

Posing with his class.

I was so happy I was able to go and see him with his friends.

He decorated his turkey like a soldier.

Book Fair!

GG went with him!

Definitely an army theme for this year.

His class at the Christmas party! I was so happy that I was able to go.

Love his little drawings

His teacher is amazing. I cannot stress this enough.

The AMAZING teacher sends home these "activity bags" once a month. January's was counting snowflakes, reading a snowflake book AND snuggling up with hot chocolate that she provided in the bag. Amazing.

100 day shirt-Nike swooshes!

School pic!

Lunch with the grandparents!

SO, SO much focus on military in EVERYTHING he did.

Max with his friends at lunch one day.
Max is obsessed with WWII & I just love when I hope his backpack & see drawings about very specific things, such as D-Day or Higgins boats.

Kindergarten soccer! He actually ended up loving it. As it turns out, being a "presence" in all things helps when you are trying to get in other people's way on a soccer field. He scored at least 1 goal every game & I was really proud of him!

I chaperoned his field trip & HE forgot to put his lunch in his backpack, but told me it wasn't in there so I felt HORRIBLE. I bought him a lunch at the gift shop and it ended up being ok.

It was actually more than ok because he was able to terrorize/entertain everyone with this cricket sucker.

The playground was the best part, for sure.

Spring Open House-love this so much.

I am not sure how I feel about our favorite thing to do together. It is real life for sure.

Love, love all of this.

I was his soccer coach, which turned out to be really fun. . He was really aggressive & so fun to watch.

His team (sideways.)

Brandon is my favorite & totally follows my requests to talk to their classes. Max requested his SWAT uniform and it was HUGE success. I mean, what kindergartener does not want to see an actual superhero in their classroom??

Max LOVED it, I LOVED it, all of the things.

Max's teacher is everything. She had a Reader's Cafe (on his birthday!) and it was the CUTEST thing I have ever seen.

Max is reading real books and I need to send this woman a gift card every day for the rest of time.

Of course the whole family came out for the show!

Chef Max.

Love those identical faces.

He was thrilled to pose with this award. I was SO proud of him this season.

End of year party-I had to miss it, but Noni & Bop went for the win!

My new fave picture!

His teacher made each kid a scrapbook.

Y'all.

I am so proud of this kid who jumped into kindergarten and did amazing. He learned so much, including how to read, math, sit still, ride a bike, play baseball/basketball & soccer. He made so many new friends and I loved the year!

1st grade, here we come!
