Anderson played for the Lakers again this year and it was, as usual, a great experience. They did not win all of their games and, in fact, they lost more than ever, BUT they were playing kids 2 years older than them and they ended up improving SO much from the games.
Part of the sibling squad.
He always had the biggest cheering section.
He had practice 3 nights a week-Sunday (5-7), Wednesday (7-9) and Thursday (7:30-8:45) so there were lots of late night dinners/snacks.
Brandon is the best dad-he provides the right amount of advice and support. Anderson is definitely a better player (and person) because of his dad's love. Meanwhile, I am usually either screaming my head off out of excitement or burying my face in my hands out of nerves during the games.
Toward the end of the season, they had a BIG win against an all 5th-grade team. They had just lost to the same team the week before and they ended up beating them in overtime. It was such a testament to their hard work and ability to play like a team. I love the lessons in team sports.
They also lost their tournament, which led to a lot of lessons.
Entertaining the younger kid is always a fun time.
