Family & the Fourth

We always love celebrating GG!

How cute is this one of GG and all of her boys?
You will notice some pretty strong genes going through this picture.

Also, this one is so cute. Max has taken on this new expression and genuinely believes he is smiling. I am not sure how he has managed to confuse pain and happiness.

We are very excited because Eden will officially be joining our family soon! She & Austin are engaged and planning a wedding for next fall. I am really excited to have another female join our crew. Also, I was wearing shoes at one point in the evening.

I do love how close these 2 are and it gives me so much hope for my future connection with my boys.

We started our America celebration a few days early with a pool party with some of Max's friends.

That night, we hit up a church festival to see Bop!

We also waited in line about 30 minutes to do this bounce house.

I was so, so tired, but the boys wanted to stay for the fireworks and I am so glad that we did because they were pretty awesome.

It was RAINING AGAIN on the actual, but we did not let those drops deter us! I left the kids with mom and staked out some spots for us to watch the parade.

In true celebration mode, we started our day with festive doughnuts.
Also, we managed to snag Reese for the fun, so you know that Max was in heaven, despite his pained face.

Rain.Rain.Everywhere.

This year the parents joined us for the fun!

I love the Farragut Parade so much and we have only missed one year when Anderson had an eye appointment. Anderson does not have much longer before he will not be interested in chasing candy, so I am going to enjoy these moments while they last. In addition to candy, popsicles and lots of frisbees, we got a bunch of coupons for places that we actually go, so you know that I was ALL over that.

I mean, so much cuteness.

The Farragut Press photographer was walking down the very crowded street filled mostly with kids. As he walked, he checked out the families sitting on the curbs. After he passed a few hundred people, he literally stopped when he saw Reese and asked if he could take her picture. It was hilarious and we, of course, said yes.

So, for the 4th or 5th time (I cannot keep up,) Reese has been pictured in our local paper.

Then the parade ended and it was raining off and on and everyone was whining and I was exhausted and we just made everyone go swimming and fight the weather.

Brandon got off work early enough to help us with fireworks! We spent a total of $9 at the fireworks store and actually managed to pick out some pretty fun ones.

Mom cooked dinner (thank you, Noni!) and we all finished our celebration together!

  1. Thank you for taking Reese.
Also, I love Max's "wedding pants."
