Christmas Day

Christmas Day was magical, exhausting and fun.

The boys woke us up at 5:01 (I told Anderson he had to sleep until at least 5) and we went pretty strong all day.

Stockings are my favorite.

Anderson got an X-box, SEC helmets, some kind of crazy Nerf gun that shoots balls (they hurt) and some other random things. He was, of course, most excited about the X-box. We have been wrapping his "big" gift in this Blender box for a few years and this year Santa took it and put his X-box in it.

Max got a police station, police vehicles, dinosaur set, shark attack set and a bunch of other random things.

I was correct in that all of the shark things would be his favorite. He loves to take baths and pretend attack/destroy animals in there.

I was really excited about this Polar Bear blanket; it is seriously so cute and so warm. Max was not as impressed.

We got Anderson an Alvin Kamara jersey and wrapped it in this "Earwax Candle kit." He was very concerned about the box.

Note: Max reading his new book in the background. He loves the "Who Would Win?" books and this one is T-Rex vs. Velociraptor.

But, he loved the jersey!

I have used these bags every year since Max was born. This year Max said, "Oh, I get it! I am Max and he is the Grinch because he is always grumpy."

No comment from me.

Biscuits and bacon because my kids won't eat anything festive or remotely not basic.

Aunt LoLo made us all delicous hot chocolate mix and I broke into it pretty early.

Then we went to GG's for more festivities!

The Bishops/Salvaggios stopped by for dinner (from Calhouns) and to build legos/go to a movie.

Someone likes the blanket!

Anderson's X Box, cousins....also, Giant Anderson became our tree topper.

Christmas Eve

We, as always, had a family/fun/food filled Christmas Eve!

We mixed it up a little this year and drove to Nicole's to celebrate in the Ville.

Mom really outdid the group gift this year. The slogan/theme was "We shook our family tree and a bunch of nuts fell out."  She had each of the kids draw themselves/their family members and then had the entire design screen printed on a shirt. It really was so cute.

I was really excited about this cat head hanger that I got Noah. (He also got $; I am not horrible.)

Intense laser tag game for all.

Then we drove back to Knoxville for Christmas Eve night at GG's.
Anderson was so excited because I brought Salsarita's cheese dip as one of the appetizers.

These face coasters were a gag gift and they were actually hilarious.

GG put togther a pictionary game where we were reminded of who has the artistic skills.

Before bed Max had to line up all of his new dinos from Christmas Round I.

We snuggled up to read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and put out our cookies, carrots and reindeer food.

The boys both slept in the bunk beds! Granted they did not fall asleep until after 11pm and the room is right by the living room, but it was still super festive.

And, of course, Santa visisted!
