Wild Things, Dinosaurs & Garbage Trucks

A few random obsessions:

I will never get tired of Max with Wild Things.

Thank you Cousin Shae for sending this to Anderson many years ago!

He requests the book about him and has basically memorized it.

"Let the Wild Rumpus Start, "he will yell.

We named him well.

Anderson is pretty aggressively revisiting his dinosaur phase from a few years ago. I found this mug on clearance at Target and the skeletons appear when the water is hot, which is pretty cool unless you are a 5 year old boy and then you just want to destroy things so you have no patience to wait.

Just a lot of dinosaur playing/killing each other/fighting/destructiveness.

Meanwhile, Max has entered the garbage truck phase of his life. We borrowed this giant one from GG's house and it has not left his side, including at night. It definitely takes up most of the crib, but he doesn't care.  I have such flash backs to Anderson & his garbage truck obsession around this same age.

Noni took him to pick out an "Easter" present & this is what he chose.

This one toy kept him occupied for most of Anderson's last soccer game and that is nothing short of amazing.

  1. I love the garbage truck phase. It's so typical but so random at the same time. I love that he knows the book by heart. Adorable. I love all of Anderson's phases. He's so intense. I miss watching that cute little boy play time

  2. The garbage truck on his lap. 💙 (did that heart emoji show up?)

This is my future, I guess... It seems like a foreign country to be honest. But, I am excited. Save all of that for me. #iwasflying

  3. Hee hee! I love it! Have your kids read the "I Stink" books? Jeremy loved those during his garbage truck phase. I can send them over if you don't have them.
