**I apparently started this post in August and am just now discovering it, so some of the date references are off. And, they are going to stay that way because I am lazy**
Having a job totally cramps my ability to hang out with my boys, so I am incredibly lucky to have a pretty sweet set up for them with the most AMAZING Noni who saves my life every single day in some way or another and a pre school that does such wonderful things, I can't imagine NOT working.I love, love their school because they have a curriculum that prepares them for real school, they have fun while they are there, they are well taken care of, and the communication is spot on. I would like to say my reasons are in that order because, really, I am actually a Curriculum Principal (what on earth. Who knew?) and the curriculum part should be first, but I would be lying. The communication part trumps all. I worship this new system they have where I get an electronic update AND a picture every day.
Max loves it, but doesn't always realize it. The boy is hysterical in the parking lot and has to literally be pried off of me every day. Leaving my snotty, tear streaked cheeks, baby, knowing I am not going to return for 9 hours definitely puts a cramp in my day. But, without fail, I will get an adorable pic of him just loving his life and all is ok with the world again. And, he is PUMPED when he sees me at the end of the day. I mean, I had no idea how amazing I am.
They make everything so much fun that Anderson does not realize he is actually learning. I am seriously a little worried about when he does start kindergarten because there is no way his class can be this perfect.
Possibly I got the wrong pic? Maybe the blond haired parents are waiting for this one?
They officially start the pre-K curriculum in Sept, so during the summer they had all kinds of activities planned-the zoomobile, Ijams, a local theater company, themed parties, etc. I am still hearing about the hedgehog that he was able to hold during one of the visits.
"A football playing Scientist, " he corrected me when I asked him about this one.
Max generally has this expression on his face. He is often just a bit annoyed with his surroundings wherever he is.
I mean, he is just too cute.
But, most of the time, the boys are having the time of their lives with Noni & Bop. Those days are spent learning (Noni is the greatest teacher), being loved (I mean, really), going on field trips (all of the time; it is not real life), and having the opportunity to do all things BOY (catch bugs, run at/attack/hit things, build/destroy things)
I get updates like this all of the time.
Ferg on a Field Trip.
My 75 year old day playing football with Anderson. And, it is always full tackle. Always.
Random Conversations-
Me: I have to work late tonight because I have parent night"
A: Please let me come with you!!
Me: Daddy is going to be home with you and I will be home by 9 (I realize it is sad that this seems incredibly early to us)
A: Please! I want to come! How many are going to be there?
Me: I am not sure....wait, did you think I said "Parrot Night?"
Me: You know, Anderson, we really do not look anything alike.
A: Yeah. Except when you don't brush my hair and it sticks up, then we look alike."

They are too cute! I hope wherever they go to school there is alot of hands on, stimulating learning. These boys will have a hard time just sitting still at a desk in a classroom! Thomas' 3rd grade teacher told me she thought he had ADD. Turns out, he was bored! What do kids do when they are bored? They disrupt class. I told her to give him extra activities to do to keep him busy. Didn't hear anything else negative from her the rest of that year. Boys HAVE to move, do, and explore!! They're just wired that way! So is Awesome A and Magnificent Max!!
