I really, really wanted to get some 1 year pics of Max at Portrait Innovations because I had A's taken when he was 1 and there is always a coupon for 9 million pics for $8, but the one time we tried, Max was hysterical the entire time and it was the epitome of an epic fail. Rhonda Thompson took some for us last fall when my good friend, Saasha, gave me a mini session. I LOVED her pics and was so happy and decided a mini session/year is totally worth it.
And, this time time, she did just as awesome!
Bug. I mean, he is so grown up. There was an issue in most of the pics because his glasses kept falling off of his nose, but this one turned out so perfect that the rest of them don't matter anyway. And, then, there is this. Technically, he was 17 months, which counts because it rounds down to 1.
WHO IS THIS BLOND BABY?? I am obsessed with him being blond, I realize. But, I literally cannot get over it. My entire childhood I wanted 2 boys with blond hair and the only baby doll I remember was a blue eyed boy named John Michael. (He was, of course, a Cabbage Patch doll.) So, my dreams are definitely coming true with these 2 perfect boys. Only one of them is blond, but they both snagged those blue eyes, so I will count my blessings.
That is what a Mama's heart looks like.
Also, I was NOT at all planning on being in the pics. I mean, at all. I was at work all day, drove to pick them up from school, drove all the way back near Powell for the pics and really put zero thought into my appearance because I was not planning on being photographed. But, now I am glad I was, because how much do I love these boys??
Lucky, lucky me.

Blond hair courtesy of great grandmother Virginia Jeffries Anderson.
ReplyDeleteLove them. Totally worth it.
ReplyDeleteGigi is right! We all were blond as children. These are gorgeous! I need copies!! You guys are so photogenic. There is something in Max's eyes that is you. Anderson looks like an Anderson/Jeffries hybrid! Love you all!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute that you weren't planning on being in them but you still allowed her to take some of you. I'm SO glad you did. They are precious. And that first picture of Anderson is sooooooo perfect and handsome!!!!
ReplyDeletefirst of all, this is what you look like at the end of a long day and with no intention of being photographed? well, i hate you.
ReplyDeletesecond, dear cousin, there is no universe in which 17 rounds DOWN to anything, much less one. shake my head. all that tutoring time wasted...
