In no particular order, here are a few of the festivities we have been involved in over the last few weeks.
We visited Bop at IHOP and, as always, I was totally envied as the daughter of the Balloon Man. Hilarious.
Especially because he can now make a NINJA TURTLE!!!!
Also, there are random video links above this pic and I cannot move them. My mom's Ice Bucket Challenge is hilarious.I mean, it really is; funny stuff happening over at her house.
Mine was sort of terrible because it was freezing. I know everyone's is, but I can't feel yours, so I can't sympathize. My family enjoyed it a little too much. Did you see how GIANT the bucket was? I notice that other people have these cute little beach buckets and I have all of the ice from the freezer and a few gallons of ice water because that is how my husband rolls. Anderson's giggle at the end is also hilarious. Thanks for looking our for mama, bug.
Definite festivity when our girls visited for the weekend! Oh, how someone was pumped to see Max and Sissa and E!
Such an awesome big brother. Truly.
"Fun with Farragut's Fleet Truck Show"!! We got to watch the helicopter land right in front of us. It was the highlight of Max's life.
Attending the event was not the highlight of Lily's life. She did get to make a firetruck craft, so that was sort of ok.
Of course, Jack was there! And, Lucy, but I got zero pics of her*. Sadness.
*Because chasing Max is a full time job.
And, this little Piece of Pie was there.
I took the Bigs to make grandparent presents and Lily took the whole experience very seriously.
And, Anderson drew something really quickly and went to take advantage of all of the toys.
We celebrated Austin's birthday over FaceTime with GG & JPa! GG is amazing and made cakes for Austin & Brandon before she left, so the tradition lives on!
We attended a birthday party for the son of someone I work with & Anderson made do with a ghetto cast cover. There are no words for how much I love this kid.
And, this guy. I also love him.
When you are in education and your birthday is in August, it is not ever really going to be the time of your life. (Shout out to Clare...) But, then you work with awesome people who surprise you with a cake, so it is all ok:)
And...you have an awesome hubby who surprises you with flowers at work.
Hey, dreams. I see you coming true.
Super flashback to this other half who also celebrated a birthday.
And, because I will shamelessly exploit any kind of free activity we went to a bank Grand Opening where we posed with Smokey, won a Dominoes gift card and rain gauge (what!), had cake/cookies/lunch and killed about an hour. Score.
Also, I have learned that Max is basically traumatized of all inside places since he started daycare. Literally, he will clutch me with his death grip and freak out hysterically when we go inside places where he thinks I am going to leave him. The bank, Great Clips, the doctor's office, etc. The plus side is that I have really been able to see his persistence because the boy does not back off.
It was actually pretty amazing until Max fed Smokey his cookie. Fingers crossed that Smokey doesn't get sick because that might be the most epic fail of all time.
Finally, we celebrated this guy's 35th! The fam had some kind of virus and Brandon had to leave for a business thing, but we lived it up as best we could, which clearly means pantless counter sitting.
Such.a.hottie.

You got a cake at work??? I'm pretty sure that I received nothing cake or sweets related on my bday. Powell rocks. Also-I love that you refer to Nicole as your other half. That is my favorite part of this post. Period. Happy August birthday to the best person I know!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute with that family of yours. That was a lot of celebrating! I really need to go see Pops at I-Hop. Why have I not done that?!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, happiest of birthdays to all!!
