Celebrating America & family time

We, as you probably know, love American around here.

We also love this sweet Kennadee, who is getting so big! We had a little hang out time when we crashed the Futcher's pool demanding snacks.
One of the things that I just love about where we live is the Independence Day Parade. Anderson has literally been every year (including when I was pregnant with him & the cheerleaders made me a shirt to wear in it.) We brought Noni along this year.
The boys outfits are courtesy of GG, of course.
Max.was.pumped! The helicopters, the trucks, the candy, the popsicles (a few floats hand out popsicles!), the FUN.
My perfect little American.
Anderson stole Max's fever virus & it hit him about halfway through the day. We still managed to find to to make red/blue slime.

And, have a snowball fight with the snow that I hoarded in January! I told him I could use my magic wand and make dirt into snow and I maybe was the most amazing mom ever when I actually made that happen.
Quite a bit of laying on the couch that day, too.
We continued the celebration all week because that is just how patriotic we are in the Glover house.
Cookout with the Glovers resulted in some Uncle hang out time!
This turned out pretty good, I think! Only one person isn't looking and that is amazing when you are this heavy on the male side...
GG finds super fun toys for these boys and I like to hijack them
 and challenge people to competitions.
 BLUE EYES!!
Pops' sister from Florida came to visit & she is maybe the cutest thing ever. Pops is the youngest of 12 kids (Aunt Ann is the 4th youngest) and they are really close.

 The snow.
We also spent some time with our girls at Camp Knoxville (aka...the zoo, gymnastics place, Safety City, etc)

This Pieces right here is literally this cute in person. You cannot resist just eating her up.
We invented some awesome games with stale ice cream cones and marshmallows.
 Babies in a foam pit.
Mr with the grandparents! I mean, you would think he could get a little attention...
I took terrible pics at the zoo.
But, I did capture this awesomeness! Of the many animals at the zoo, this was one the hit. We were leaving and noticed a few zookeepers around the Zebra hut thing. So, being the nosy creeper that I am, we slowed down. Turns out, a HUGE snake was coiled around the top and they were trying to get it down. We watched the entire capture go down from the front row. It was definitely the highlight of the trip for him.

  1. Of course you hoarded snow. This is one of the many reasons why you are an awesome mom. The pic of Brandon on the little kids toy is hilarious - as is the picture of your perfect little American Max. :) Love how patriotic you are!

  3. I really need to hoard snow. I love that! I am so sad that we are always out of town and have never been to the 4th parade - it seems so fun.

Important question: how do you make slime? That needs to be a a project at our house.

Important observation: those blue eyes are gorgeous!!
