EYE know.

EYE really do know now.

EYE totally get it.

MEYE ikid is perfect.

Surgery/patching/stress/anxiety/tears/worry works.

Dr. Cogen is awesome.

Sigh.

Our latest EYE visit was about a month ago, but today is our 3 year anniversary of patching, so I figured I would combine the two in a celebratory/informative post.

I said 3 years. THREE YEARS OF PATCHING. WHAT THE HELL.


A little drawing in the waiting room. He wrote "COGEN" and drew his picture. This is big stuff because the boy does not really like anything that can be classified in the "craft" realm.
I swear he totally told me to write this. My brainwashing has worked.

**This was actually a pretty anticlimactic visit because when you are told to "only patch 3 hours a day" in June, nothing will ever be exciting again. I take that back. It is still exciting because it is working and we don't have to increase the time.

The best part? As we were leaving, I went to shake Dr. Cogen's hand and HE TOTALLY HUGGED ME! #family

Three years down. Three more to go. We own this.

    I cannot believe it's been 5 years. Y'all are amazing. To me the hug is the best part. He's a Glover now. You can rename him Glogan and put him on the Xmas card next year.

    Please put him on the Christmas card. Or at least frame a picture of him somewhere in the house.

    I still remember when you called me after the June visit, and right when I answered but before I said hello, I heard you say to Brandon, "She is going to freak out, " and I started crying right then before I even knew just how amazing it was going to be.

    EYE am so loving this post and it must be celebrated!!! EYE can't believe how big he looks in "the chair." (tiny tear for the loss of our tiny people) And of course, EYE love his drawing and the note that followed. EYE am also over the moon with the fact that the PO hugged you. Totally #family Oh yeah and a good ireport is always a bonus!!! ;) xo
