It's beginning to look a lot like...

The star on the tree! After Anderson broke 3 ornaments, I made the decision that we are only putting about 8 ornaments on the tree this year. I think it was a good call. His favorite one is a fire truck that Clare bought him-he broke a part of it, but is still is his favorite! LOVE the no pants in this pic. And, my 2 boys, of course :)
Breakfast with Santa! This was in the beginning of November, but I was sort of embarrassed that we were already hoarding Christmas activities at that point, so it is just now making the blog.
We mailed a letter to Santa & he asked for a fire station, police car and a helicopter.*

* Pretty sure (like, 100% sure) that Santa is bringing him a fire station that he got on sale at Costco made for Anderson. We have been "reminding" A of how much he wants a fire station since I got it ( this Santa is a frugal one. Frugal=planning early=lots of online stalking=spending less than $100 total on Christmas/Birthday gifts) Anyway, his teacher last week gave him a Toys R' Us catalog and let him cut out pics of stuff he wanted. Who. is. this. woman? Let's say that the craft was immediately tossed, I printed out a pic of the fire station to hang on the fridge and we found another Santa to "remind" Anderson what he really wants...

Bop's balloon tree!!
I LOVE THIS SANTA*! I said, "Santa, he has to keep his eyepatch on to get a fire station, right?" And, Santa said, "Yes, and I am going to actually start wearing an eyepatch after Christmas just like you because I have a cataract!" I AM SERIOUS!!!! He definitely spent an extra minute with my boy, too.

* I am embarrassed because I think we have seen 5 Santas this year. (none of which included waiting at the mall. we don't play around with that) Am I hoarding the jolly elf? I think I am.
Ornament decorating with the Pads.

A picture of the Cousin Pajama picture. LOVE their faces:) Also, am loving the prom pose.
I totally was busted by Anderson when he found a piece of his artwork in the trashcan. Oops. Love him, but he does a lot of crafts & there is only so much room on the fridge. I do love the handprint ones, though.

Menchies snack with Daddy!

Ha ha ha!! We went to a Chickfila Christmas event with train rides (that they loved), crafts (that they did not care about) & photo ops (that we made them do!)
The 6 of us! Brandon got me a new camera for Christmas (a little early) and it has this cool thing where you can choose a color effect! We look a little creepy, but it is kind of fun. The Brimers had us over for our annual Christmas dinner and it was so much fun and DELICIOUS! And, Anderson left with a super official SWAT outfit! (which unfortunately led me to have a REAL handcuff dangling from my wrist for about 2 hours one afternoon...we were playing "SWAT" & A decided to use the real set (one of Brandon's) & I am an idiot (in my defense, I was distracted...) and let him put it on me before I realized. Well, Brandon was at work & I had to wait for him to get home to unlock me.)

ha, ha. Only the mom of a boy.

Watching the Polar Express with Dad!

And...just in time for Christmas, Anderson got new glasses! He picked them out and they are definitely GREEN! I really like them and they are not nearly as shocking as I thought they would be!

  1. one of the Christmas cards in the past, I think the one where Jacob is 2 or 3, he is not wearing pants. We had tried earlier in that night to get a good pic of Hallie, Abby, and him, but he was being a pill. Then, later in the evening he was in a great mood, but in a play shirt and no pants, we sat him on a stool between H & A and snapped the pic from the waist up. And that is what was sent out!

the prom pose: that is totally what popped into my mind.

  4. Saw the green frames on instagram, the boy can ROCK some green! Curious, are popping the lenses out per color frame or are they an entirely new separate pair? I've considered once E gets a lil older, I would buy him more than one pair for both fashion and spare pair reasons. If popping lenses and changing frames were that easy... I might do that!

  5. Love the green frames! All of my kids hate pants. Blake is starting to want to wear them just now. :) glad I am not alone in letting them get away with it.
