weekends and birthdays.

Heads up...lots of pics from the last month.
Straight up walked into the room to see him about to put the fire out in the house. Note: there was not really a fire.
We took the kids to the zoo a few weeks ago & thanks to my mom's generosity we rode the camel. (It was $20, I was not paying that for a camel ride. Love you, Mom)
Once it started it was a little scary, so I frantically started clutching them. I loosened up a bit, but I am telling you it was not a super smooth ride up there on that hump.
The imoms will only need a second to figure out what he is doing here. Whenever there is a pause, you know something is coming off!

Splash pads really are better without patches!
imoms...do you notice the ortopad patches having weird gummy stickiness? There are sticky strands from the last shipment of patches that we ordered.  I never noticed them in the past, but it seems like all of the latest ones gum up.They leave stickiness on his face.
My mother is ridiculous. She has such patience. I think Anderson is pumped that I am working more because he gets more Noni time.
Austin celebrated his bday and in true uncle style he let Anderson crash the candle blowing part of the event. Seriously, look at the obsession of the fire in my kid's eyes. Almost creepy. Love you, Austin!
Playing with Uncle Austin, who clearly is a trooper because being spun around & around & around is not really fun, but he stuck it out to entertain Anderson!
Jessica sent me a delicious fruit flower arrangement when I started my new job! We ate almost all of it in one sitting. It was delicious and I love you, Jessica!!
Brandon is ridiculously perfect and arranged to have a friend of a coworker take him to Sally's & use her discount card because I wanted a new curling iron. So, he went overboard & got me all of this stuff (for less than the price of the curling iron...I think that was the true gift)
I always crack up at all of his toys at GGs. He is such a creature of habit, they have to be arranged perfectly every time.
Celebrated Brandon's birthday! I love my husband's constant ability to entertain with random things like playing with fire.
The Glover boys.
Because they knew that this last month has been crazy/difficult/overwhelming, Clare & Chelsea arranged to have Brandon drop me off at a nail place to get pedicures! I was surprised and so excited to see them since I don't get to hang out with them as much anymore. I got orange for Powell and UT!
My cheerleaders surprised me with some really thoughtful surprises at a farewell team dinner. I .Love.Those. Girls.
How awesome does JPa look?? He is seriously the poster child for kicking lymphoma's butt.

Play date with Jack & Yilly!
Speaking of Jack, how great is this book from GG? The patch is on the right eye, the friend has red hair and it says, "one good eye" and he goes on to win all the treasure!

  1. Your boy is a hoot! Love the hose in the kitchen. He is protecting the family! And I haven't noticed gumminess with the ortopads but we just got a new shipment and I just opened a new box. All our others were from a couple months ago when I ordered a big order. I followed your advice and got some Krafty patches too so that we can try to reuse them when she rips them off.

You can't blame the boy - i am sure splash pads are more fun without a patch! I love that he is so happy when you are at work. I know my kids feel the same way and it makes it a little (stressing the word little) easier to leave them for my job.

Summer may be almost over but it sure looked like you guys had fun (you are brave to sit on a camel!)

  2. I do love a splash pad. The shot of your hanging onto them for dear life on the camel is hilarious. And happy birthday to Brandon! August birthdays are tough - as you well know. We loved our play date last weekend - I'm still craving the smores :)

  3. Please frame the first picture with the hose. That's awesome.

    I noticed an instagram?

Lily still talks about the camel. It was worth it. Although, she didn't tell me how frantic you were though.

  5. Ok so I just counted how many pics you posted, considering you "warned" us there would be a lot. Now I am embarrassed because I posted oh about 10 more than you, with no warning and all of the SAME day. At least you spanned an entire month! ha. Maybe I need to scale back?! ;)

Anyway they are ALL so fun to look at, thanks for sharing. I would like to know if the hose Anderson was dragging into the house was actually turned on? He is too funny and once again I love that you run to grab your camera and not your kid! ha.

Btw, not sure about the sticky patches either. We just got a new batch in and our last batch was ordered eons ago. I really glob on the milky stuff too so maybe that is helping? I do find when he is sweaty hot or if it gets wet from water, the patch is way sticky-er at removal. Weird because you would think the opposite?! I don't blame him for removing the patch at the splash pad, I would too! ;)

Last comment... LOVE the book! So perfect.

does brandon's one brother look like time tebow? or is it just me...

  7. Yes- I have been having trouble with Ortopad stickiness... strands have been left and the strands are HARD to get off! It isn't every patch in the box, but we go through so many, I don't know which design it is. Our patches are coming off easier (although I think that is our boy, not the patches) and can I just complain ONE MORE time that I don't like the new designs or the fact that they added a pink glitter one to the funpack?

I love all the pics! I love that book!

  8. I.Love.Anderson!! He is absolutely precious and so full of life and energy and all things boy. I lovee that Addie looks just like him when she starts working on peeling off her patch. ..she's gotten especially skilled at it this week! I will say that my Ortopads haven't been too gummy, and I haven't noticed strings, but Addie isn't exactly Miss Active yet, so we don't have to deal with sweat or splash pads, just tears occassionally, so that could be part of it. ..and I'm still trimming them down quite a bit for her itsy face. ..and I de-stick them a little so they don't leave a permanent red circle on her face. ..so, basically, I'm only putting on half the patch with half the stickines, so my experience may not count at all. ..and I'm rambling at midnight on a Friday. Sorry!! :) I will close by saying that I am SO excited about your new niece / nephew on the way!! I know that is a different post, but I'm trying to consolidate. ..anyway, congrats!!!!
