Our house has been on fire a lot recently. Well, on "tire" actually. Anderson has started to ignore his vast collection of construction equipment and has quickly immersed himself in the world of all things rescue: Fire trucks, police cars and ambulances. He loves putting out fires, but he can't completely pronounce F, so it comes out as "tire." Precious. Fireman Sam, is a Scottish (Welsh?) cartoon that comes on Sprout. Unfortunately, each episode only lasts 11 minutes. Fortunately, we can find old episodes on YouTube & Netflix.
Watching real firetrucks on the ipad. He loves to watch youtube clips and then re-enact them. He also loves any kind of actual water, like the hose or the sprayer on the sink, because he pretends he is putting out fires all over the place. The absolute highlight of our day is if we see an ambulance or fire truck with the sirens going. I always tell him that I made that happen because he has been so good/pooped in the potty/etc. I am very sad for the day when he realizes I am not really magical.
There is a fire station pretty close to us and we promised him he could there if he pooped in the potty. Interesting how quickly that happened once there was a legit prize.

I am always amazed at how creative he is.. Today he had to rescue a man from a hole with his helicopter and a piece of string all day. Love him.

ReplyDeletealso, don't you just hate fireman sam??? ugh. jacob liked that show also and it totally got on my nerves. also, have you noticed how the bad kid (can't remember his name) NEVER really gets in trouble? and his "bad" behavior is, like, starting a fire in a field. hello....
He is absolutely adorable in all three of his "looks." I feel like we got three kids for the price of one... the patched kid, the glasses kid, the natural kid. Sometimes, I purposely try to take pictures of Easton doing the same things with his various "looks." Just to see what he would look like if and when. Am I the only weirdo doing this?! ha. I love that he is branching out, rescue work is a little more heroic than construction and building. Anderson is definitely a hero!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Fireman Sam! He comes on as a special bonus at the end of most Thomas DVDs. Fun times. He is adorable, as usual, and is just as precious with the patch as without!
ReplyDeleteAnderson would love me then. We have a remote for our alarm system that I keep by my bed. One night I pressed it to set it but accidentally pressed both bottom buttons together. In about 5 minutes an ambulance showed up at our house and they almost knocked down our front door. If you press the top two buttons the police show up. Maybe when Anderson visits I'll do that...just kidding. Poor EMT workers.
