I am really going to try to avoid putting hundreds of pictures on here this summer. So, I'm limiting myself to no more than 2 per day. Even that many is ridiculous, I realize, but I cannot go any lower. This is already a tough goal I've set for myself.
"Hello, Yiwwy? Pwease come to my house. Pwease. I need you." Direct quote.
Pappaw on Memorial day!!
Because Brandon is awesome and buddies with some fire fighters, we brought Anderson to his own personal tour. He got to climb in all the trucks, play with the lights and use their potty! He is really into firemen recently. He can't pronounce F really well, so he will say, "There's a Tire! Hurry!" and then pretend to slide down a pole and run to put out the fire. It is really precious.
Fountains in Market Square!
Lunch wtih GG & Pappaw! I love this picture!
Looks like JPa is returning to his old self:)
A friend invited us on her boat for a bit one afternoon & it was great. We weren't out there very long, but Anderson gradually got the hang of jumping into the lake.
Storytime at Ijams was fun, but he mostly enjoyed trying to find frogs in the pond.
Swim "lessons" began this week! Mostly it is just a time to get him comfortable in the water. His glasses/patch stayed on until we had to take them off because Dr Cogen's words follow me everywhere in every situation. (You can't over patch!)
Possibly he is a water bug?
After the first part he was annoyed that he couldn't just play with the boats so we had to bribe him with the boat to keep kicking. The attention span of a toddler is very limited, we have discovered.

1.what? two a day? no! us other summer-at-home-moms need something to look at/read!! don't be so selfish melissa! (that selfish comment was a joke by the way. just to make it clear...)
ReplyDelete2.my fave part about the phone call to lily is his right hand, held up is such a desperate way.
3.jacob went through a all-things-fire-truck stage also. glad brandon isn't upset. i guess to little ones, a fire truck is just more interesting than a police car... also, he got to use the fire station potty!! awesome.
4.love that you had to bribe him with the boat to get him to swim. that seems familiar, didn't i read another post where bribing and swimming were mentioned???
He did so awesome at the swim lessons. I was way impressed that he felt comfortable enough to float by himself - huge accomplishment! Love the Yilly phone call - so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour summer is off to an awesome start!
ReplyDeleteHe will be so happy when his Yiwwy moves close to him. Loved the phone call. He looks like he enjoyed his swim class. YAY.
ReplyDeleteOk hang on... is that a shirt with just ONE large eyeball on it?! Who, where, how perfect! ;) Ok now that I got that over with, I too find "the hand" on the phone call pic to simply say it all. Yiwwy you must come... quick!
ReplyDeletethe phone call to Yiwwy just melts my heart!!! And I am protesting the 2 pic a day limit! NO WAY!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is so desperate for Lily. We are coming!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHOW HAVE WE NOT DISCUSSED swim lessons, yet?????? Of course he is a water bug.
I love his plea to Lily! I almost put Jeremy in swim lessons two summers ago and then I realized I would have to wear a bathing suit in public. I hate you a little bit. Just a little. :)
ReplyDeleteSwim Lessons! He is totally a natural! I love those pictures, my favorites. Well except for the picture of him on the phone. I love the direct quote.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wonder what happened to your baby. I still think of him as being newborn at times.
The other day I randomly thought about when we were talking on the phone and you said "oh crap, I gotta go, Anderson just pooped in the bath and is smearing it on the walls."
