This boy. It is too much. Pretty fun story involving poop, flea shampoo, dog hair and a semi concussion that goes with this pic, but we will save you the laughter.
Our Sonic is right across from the construction of a new Costco. We have big plans of hanging out watching the construction and using free ice cream coupons from Cousin Shae!
I have a feeling popsicles with the BFF will be a theme of summer, too. Clare found a fun (FREE) community fair down the street from her house!
We went to Ijams Nature Center to celebrate the amazingly talented Uncle Curtis and it was so great. We will be going back. There is an outdoor "playground" that is just trees and dirt and awesomeness, a frog pond, turtles/fish/snakes to look at and a little kid area to teach about recycling. As we were walking through it Anderson spotted some books and said, "We should read a book, Bobble! I yuv to read." And then I had to run and grab some paper towels to clean up the puddle on the floor where I had just melted.Uncle Curtis WON the most votes!! Woo hoo!
This is what most of the time with Anderson in public is like. He isn't crying. He is just crawling around my legs acting like he needs a tow truck. This outing was legit because there were green plates/cups, free food and drinks AND dessert was catered by a cake person! (baker?)
Hilarious.
How great is this? The Rainy Day Brush Off is something Curtis participated in last year, too. He is so talented and his barrel was the talk of the event.
The final product!! It was really so much fun and I have already signed him up for the next ones. Check it out wherever you live, if you have a Lowe's. They get a little "patch" to iron on their apron when they are done. When asked if he needed a patch, Anderson replied, "I have an eyepatch!"

I yuv to read.
ReplyDeleteRight there. It is worth the extra million hours he is awake every day.
Well, almost.
So adorable! Can I just say I am extremely jealous of all the fun things you do. I am a teacher to so this was our first week off and the only thing i was brave enough to attempt with both kids by myself was a trip to the eye doc (epic fail) and pictures at Sears (another epic fail). I think I need a leash for my 2 year old or bribe him to stay in the double stroller!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to check out the Lowe's thing though. Send him with Daddy and I can have girl time with the baby!
And of course Anderson doesn't need a patch. Silly people at Lowes!
You do have 2 which changes everything!! My one literally sleeps like 7 hours a day so sheer desperation is my motivation!
Deletemore coupons will be on the way soon!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like summer is off to a GREAT start! I love the Lowe's craft time! What I love even more is that the red patch and blue glasses match the red apron and blue strings perfectly!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the color combo! Leave it to an imom...
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is his expression in the first picture? He seems to be such a character! I wish I could hang out with Anderson for a day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great summer mom! (I totally would have done the Lowe's craft thing just how you did!)
