the parrot.

and so it begins....

Store employee: Hey, hey, Sir!! What happened to your son's eye?

Brandon: It was plucked out by a parrot.

Employee:Oh, poor little guy! Poor guy. Was it at your house or somewhere else?

Brandon: It was ours. We had to put it down.

Employee: I am so sorry. Poor guy. That is awful. How old is he?

Brandon: He is 1.

Employee: Oh, poor little guy.

  2. Hilarious! I always tell my patients that have had craniotomies and have crazy scars that they need to come up with a good story of what happened to them, like they were attacked by a bear or something. Oh, and I love that he used a parrot - goes with his pirate theme!! I am so proud of you for buying tonys - i think you will love it! i couldnt live without it.

  3. That is AWESOME!! Brandon is hilarious! Why do people feel the need to ask what's wrong? Why do they need to know? Weirdo public strikes again!

  6. i thought i had posted a comment on this...but i don't see it, but that sounds about right since i have my mother's memory (sigh). anyway, abigail has a rather large, brown birthmark on her arm. one day recently she was telling me how many (rude!) random people (some she doesn't even know) ask her "what's wrong with your arm?" she said it used to bother her, but now she and her friends make up wild stories about what it is and how it happened. good times. see, she fits perfectly in our family!
