So, major shout out to the moms in my life...There is no way I could survive without you!! Seriously, this week alone would have not happened. Mon-I got home at 9:30 from the school board meeting to a baby in bed, dogs who had been out, dinner in the fridge...all thanks to Mom (&pops:)!Tues-I got home at 9 from the track meet to a baby being rocked by GG, Wed-my mom picked Anderson up at Brusters at 6pm where I was having an AP test review session & put him to bed, and took care of the dogs (which, let's be honest, are way more work-have you met Chloe?) Thurs- Had dinner waiting for me as I picked Anderson up at Mom's & then GG came over to watch him until Brandon got home because I had to proctor a test at school. I know, I am so lucky. Now, if only I was a teacher and had those really great hours everyone likes to tell me about....

I have some great advice to all the single girls out there...marry into a family of boys! Being the first (and only) girl in the Glover household has given me the awesome position of being loved/spoiled/pretty much treated like royalty. Most of this is because Brandon's mom is the most welcoming person I've ever met. She has included me in her family since the first time I met her. Not just in a fake "I have to invite her to dinner because she's dating my son" way, but in such a genuine way that sometimes I think I might be the favorite kid! I am so, so lucky to have her complete support, guidance, love and ears (she listens to me talk a lot....!)I love this picture because it totally sums up being a mom: they only have eyes for each other:) Happy Mother's Day, GG! We love you!

As for my mom, now that I have a baby, she is my HERO!! I reminded myself often in the beginning that she did this with TWINS...and CLOTH DIAPERS! Twins. Not to sound like a cheesy plaque, but there is a special place in heaven for people who are cursed with twins. I mean, Nicole is the best thing ever to happen to me, but I don't even want to to think about 2 babies! and cloth diapers! I love this picture because it is so my mom. Could we seriously not even give her 2 minutes to make a phone call? I can't tell who is in need of attention more.I think it is Zack.

Even though my Nanny is not with us, she is looking down & is so pumped that she made the blog. I guess her help is why my mom emerged from the twin/cloth diaper situation alive.

I know this is not your best facial expression, mom, but how great is this pic? We are loving playing in the box. I think having a childhood like this is why I can randomly turn anything into a prop in my classroom now. Seriously, my mom has taught me so many lessons about life, but I think the best ones are all obvious in this pic: make the best out of any situation, be creative, enjoy life, be nice to others & work hard at what you love (maybe you have to use your imagination to see some of those things in the picture...) I love you, mom!
Happy First Mother's Day to you !!!
ReplyDeleteI am proud of you. You are an awesome mother.
When I first had Zachary, my wish in life was that my kids would love me even half as much as I loved my parents. My wish came true with even more love than I could imagine...So I wish the same for you, that Anderson loves you the same as you love me and you will be truly blessed. ..
I am stuck on "Nanny is so pumped that she made the blog." No truer words have ever been uttered. She is pumped! Very good tribute. (Can we pretend like I helped? Happy Mother's Day, Mom!). And, I totally forget about the cloth diaper thing. Scary.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your first mother's day! I love the old school pictures, I did the same thing on my blog! Love moms!!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture of one of you twins (the one on top) looks JUST LIKE LILY! Does anyone else think that?
ReplyDeleteLove the blog, Melissa! You do a great job!
