Max 3rd Grade

Max wore his jersey to school a million days, but was most excited about wearing it on picture day.

Max has Mrs. Duby for 3rd Grade. He was PUMPED because Nelson is in his class.

Hanging out with buddies after meeting his teacher.

Getting on the bus on the first day-football jersey, yellow crocs with SpongeBob charms, SpongeBob backpack, Farragut shorts.
He lost interest in the SpongeBob backpack throughout the year and started carrying a black one.
Max's "All About Me Bag: Sponge Bob, "Chaos at the Colosseum" shirt, Anthony Davis bobblehead and Pappaw's Normandy hat.
Max was quarantined from the Y for a Covid exposure the first week of school.  I AM SO OVER COVID.

He loves changing his backgrounds.
He did the monkey bars 100 times and it showed on his hands.
I found a tooth in the washer. Nobody claimed it.

Grandparents Day was so perfect-grateful for them!

OUT OF NOWHERE we had to start wearing masks. I am so grateful that I saved the stash.

I volunteered in his first Science lab & it was nice outside so they go to pull their masks down!

We hit up Moonshine Mountain cookies for our free ones after Alontae Taylor had a pick in the UT/KY game!

Fun Run!
Grinch Day!
Max's journal entry from Christmas break.

2nd Science lab-electricity. I was able to work with Max & one other kid in this lab & it was fun.
Park with Nelson after Science lab.

Another mom took this pic of him not wearing his mask correctly & sent it to me. I AM SO OVER THE MASKS.

State project-he was assigned Pennsylvania & did a great job with a focus on American & chocolate.

He also really, really loved the hot glue gun & left little piles of glue all over the table.

Crazy sock day-his had pics all over them. They were a gift from Noni.
Science lab on Matter. So glad I was able to go to it.

Max's art work. He did not love art class, but he is actually really good at it.

Max was one of 6 3rd grade boys who was chosen for the FIS youth track meet. He was SO excited to miss school and hang out all day at HVA, get concession snacks and get a bonus field trip. I blocked off my calendar and walked over from work & was so excited that I got to be there for his runs.
His team ran the 4x1 and he was the third leg. They made it to finals so they were able to run twice!
Zoo field trip-I am SO glad that I was able to get off work and go.
He hid in this random statue and the kids all thought it was so funny that I could not find him.
Love this kid.
Max turned 9 on the 9th and we celebrated him BIG because he is the best. We had cake at GG's on Mother's Day for his first celebration.
Then we gave him presents-a GoPro and new shoes!
He requested burgers which we doubled as Mother's Day dinner.
Food City does not have spell check...his next celebration was with the cousins and grandparents!
Junk Box!
Scavenger Hunt-always fun
Max received an award for being on the track team!
Noni went and celebrated!
Field Day fun!

So glad I took off work to be with this boy.

Last day of school-Bop & Noni crashed his end of year party!

Rode our bikes on the last day of school!

Love this tradition!

A teacher sent me this pic of him handing out candy for ProjectU. He had to dress up for the home basketball game.

Band concert 10/21

JV basketball team lunch during a tournament in Coalfield over Thanksgiving.

2nd Band concert-he did an amazing job. I still cannot believe that he can play an entire instrument.

It snowed on his 12th birthday & he was able to hang out with friends. I was obviously not prepared for this and his "cake" was hot chocolate.
