The FREEZING COLD beach trip

We went to Isle of Palms for a few days in June & we had terrible weather; we did not see the sun one time during out entire trip. It was crazy.

The boys really, really tried to make the most of it, despite the weather.

I added filters on all of these to trick myself into thinking there was sunlight.

Toni wore pants & a sweater to the beach and she was probably still chilly.

Max did find a few frogs, which he loved.

Freezing. We had to stay wrapped in towels.
Hubs.
We visted the U.S.S. Yorktown & it was really cool.

In addition to the cold weather, it was also really windy. I couldn't keep my dress from blowing up while were out there.

This $12 sweatshirt was a GAME CHANGER.
Even though it was chilly, we still manged to eat quite a bit of ice cream.
Max wanted to order crab legs so he could touch them.
These guys wanted to eat them!
More frogs.

We spent about 30 minutes freezing one day and buried the boys in sand.
More ice cream.

There was an alligator behind our condo & it was VERY exciting.
We really, really tried.

On this day the high was 68. SIXTY EIGHT and WINDY and CLOUDY.

I have never been so cold.

June

Max started playing Fortnite with Anderson & he was so excited when he got his first solo win!
Brandon has been working incredibly long hours, which means I let the boys fall asleep in our bed until he gets home. So much snuggling.
 Another day, another critter.
This pineapple float is the best thing that I have bought all summer.

We watched a movie on our garage door one night with our neighbors.
It was really fun & actually worked!
Reese did not make it to the end of the movie; I guess this float was too comfortable.
The 3 of us rode our bikes to "The French Market" where we ate GIANT dessert crepes.
It was really a lot of fun and it was delicious.
Visit to the library park-no snakes, but quite a few other random things.
We also rode our bikes to Anchor Park where they caught some little fish in their nets. It was approximately 107 degrees, so we did not stay long enough to actually fish.
This was yet another visit to the library park...it is almost a daily activity.
 Cousins on a float.
Max had his first sleepover-his friend, Fletcher, spent the night.

Birthday part at an inflatable water park-he loved it, despite his facial expression here.
All of the pool time with these boys.

We mixed up our pool time by going to Aarav's pool one day & we had a great time.
We still cannot go inside to see Pappaw, but we can at least see him through a window now.
Free icees on Father's Day
Visit from Noni & Bop!
They are all obsessed with "Quarantine Pineapple Whip"and we make it at least once a week.

We drove to Birmingham for Anderson's eye appointment & stopped at Cracker Barrel. It was delicious.

He is ALL good! His eyes were cleared for another year! We are always so grateful for Dr. Cogen.
We drove to Atlanta to visit Christina & her kids and we had a really fun time
I do love some Stine.

Max & Garrett were basically the same person.
Max caught this GIANT frog at his friend's house. It is so big that it looks fake in pics.

 Max's fortune is so true.
We celebrated GG's 70th with cake and presents! We postponed dinner and will get to have another celebration later in the summer.
 We were missing Uncle Curtis!
Max, Noah & I rode our bikes to Anchor Park & fished one night. They only caught one small one, but I was able to completely take it off of the hook without killing it, so that is probably my greatest summer accomplishment.
A pipe burst and we were without water for a day because something it.is.always.something.

Grateful for friends who invite us to their lake side houses!
I have no idea why we are both leaning forward here.
