Gabs

We said goodbye to our perfect Gabbi and it was so heartbreaking. She was truly the best dog that we have ever known (no offense to our Worm girl who we also loved with all of our hearts.) She was loyal and fierce and consistent in all of her ways. She spent the first decade of her life giving in to Chloe and chasing her ball ALL. DAY.LONG. Her last 2 years were a bit more sedentary due to her hip dysplasia. Her last 3 months were spent with all of us at home with her, all day long. She was snuggled, fed all of the popcorn and real food and treats and loved on all day long. We are so incredibly lucky that we had her for so long and miss her so much.

Max is SEVEN

Max turned 7 during Quarantine and, while it was a little different, I think he had a really good day.

A few of his little friends came by at various times to tell him Happy Birthday and eat cupcakes. I only took one pic, though.

The neighbors decorated their driveway, which was really sweet.

Cupcakes!

We ate Blaze for dinner with Noni & Bop. We are still not going inside their house because this virus craziness is still so unknown.

Seven years of keeping us on our toes, entertained and happy.

His favorite presents were his new Nerf gun, his Airsoft pistol and a Nerf grenade. None of those things are actually pictured, though.

His teacher brought him a book and a note.

Scavenger Hunt!

He got a Ghillie Suit from GG & he LOVED it.

Seriously hilarious.

I was trying to prevent him from catching on fire.
His party was a Nerf Gun/Slip & Slide party at Noni's and it was probably my favorite party that we have had so far. I think Reese agrees, based on her enthusiasm.

He invited about 10 kids and a few of their parents are not breaking quarantine yet, but he ended up with 7 kids, Anderson & his cousins.

Noni added these blow-up things and they were so much fun.

This kid is always the life of the party.

Raising boys: see above.

Their yard was THE BEST place to do a party like this-the clubhouse, space, trees, etc.

The party people. We gave each kid a camo bandana as part of their goodie bag and they were ready to fight.

Great American Cookie Company was closed because of The Rona, so we went with a Sam's cookie cake with the Marine Corps symbol on it.

Willow was there and stole the show.

Love these 2.

Seriously. The Best.

We sure LOVE our camo wearing, America loving boy who brings so much life and laughter ( and, exhaustion) to our lives. He loves America, camo, modifying Nerf guns, shooting anything, Gabbi, riding his bike/scooter, playing outside barefoot, pizza Lunchables, laughing, watching his iPad, watching movies that are not really 7 year old appropriate (The Meg, The Patriot,) History, military, playing with his friends and snuggling.

We are so lucky that he is ours.
