We did ALL of the appointments over summer because school year life is impossible. We had FOURTEEN various appointments in 3 weeks.
We hit up their check-ups:
Max is catching up with Anderson...
They have really outgrown the library park creek, but will still humor me and go every now and then. The fact that Anderson is too old to do most of the things we have spent our time doing over the last 9 summers was a definite struggle this year. Trying to navigate this new age is a challenge, for sure.
FOOTBALL is BACK!*
*HALLELUJAH*
Fourth of July Parade! It was so hot, but Max had so much fun hoarding candy.
This is really my favorite tradition & I will be so sad when they outgrow it.
Anderson told me to not wave at him, but when he got to me he was frantically waving and yelling AT ME and I loved it. To everyone's surprise, he actually enjoyed being in the parade! He told me that he probably won't be in it next year because he will be sleeping in that day. (I will never put my $ on Anderson sleeping.)
His team was #88, which meant he was in the heat for 3 hours, so I think he deserved the slushie.
Brandon had to work, but we were able to meet him downtown for fireworks.
When I see him at work, I realize that maybe he is actually unable to always text me back right away. Look at my hubs, so hard core.
It was REALLY cool.
Max probably sleeps 3 times as much as Anderson does, which makes him a normal sleeper.
I won Splash Country tickets in a radio contest and we went with Denise & Adeline on my last day off.
I gave into overpriced ice cream because I have given up by this time of the summer.
Parenting.
We took the boys to "Frank's Barber Shop" for stylish haircuts & they were incredibly pampered.
They loved it.
Seriously. He is 18.
America.
TIme with Bop.
Snuggly.
Max loves his bike.
Grateful for our pool.
We went kayaking at Melton Hill Dam one day. It was raining a little, but ended up being perfect weather because it was not really hot.
Max was not the best contributor to the rowing element of the kayaking and I really just chauffeured him around the lake.
Such a cutie, though.
He went UNDER a swing one day at KidTime camp because he "was building a bonfire and needed sticks under there." Bless.
Snuggles.
He was mad that I was making him take a picture with him.
Melting ice cream.
Trons.
Spots.
The boys did a basketball camp one week. They mostly just tolerated it, but I was glad for them to be able to be together.
There was a concession stand because the person running it is clearly a genius.
Football has started!
They got to meet Aubie with the cousins.
This random festival at Austin's works had snake paint,
ice cream,
and a petting zoo.
We visited many parks.
And got to hang out with the girls.
