A week in stories: April 17-April 22

My life (like all moms everywhere) right now consists of about 6 hours of interrupted sleep, shoving a handful of Doritos in my mouth for dinner at 10pm when I am making lunches for the next day, answering emails related to work/kids, printing off Quill pictures for show and tell Q  requests and living out of our car most evenings. I am always running (who needs a gym membership?) and always doing and always tired. To be completely honest, I love all of the doing and going because I prefer this season of parenting better than the younger ages. I just want to document a week in case I forget about this stage as we move into new ones!

MONDAY
It was FREEZING!!! Anderson had practice from 7-9 and Max spent the entire TWO hours running around the school and trying to throw his shoes at things. We got home about 9:30 that night.

NOOOOOOO!!!!! These glasses are set up to try and beat me down and I WILL NOT HAVE IT.

TUESDAY
Tball game for this kid, followed by another 2 hour practice for Anderson. Max does not love the idea of going to the games but he does like them once he is there. And, it was actually warm!

WEDNESDAY
Straight from school to Anderson's practice and a meeting at All Saints so Max got to pick out his own snack! He also had dinner of Chick-Fil-A at 8:30 that night so he met all of the food groups.

Anderson somehow got a TON of gum stuck in his hair. Thank goodness for peanut butter coming through in the clutch!

THURSDAY

Anderson had Open House and I really loved seeing how much he has grown this year by looking through all of his work.

All 4 of us were home FOR THE NIGHT by 7pm and it was really, really nice.

FRIDAY
Anderson was playing basketball* so Max &I hung out in our ditch.

*I am not even including bball games in this post because they get their own separate post. He has at least 3 games a weekend in various locations.

SATURDAY

First Communion practice-I cannot handle the cutest!

Max had a party at Smart Toys & Books and I really need people to stop having parties at toy stores.

Orange & White game!

SUNDAY

Church picnic with Lucy!

2 flag football games with his cheerleaders!

Love this face.

Sleeping

My children are 4 & 8 and STILL DO NOT SLEEP ALL NIGHT. I just want to do a quick documentation on this for my future nostalgic self.

Anderson does not actually need sleep so he is semi forgiven when he is up by 6am at the latest, even after he goes to sleep past 10pm.
Max is obsessed with me and just wants to sleep next to me every night so he sneaks into my room ninja like every.single.night.multiple.times. Also, he still naps at day care, which means he is usually still up past 10, as well.

I always have flashbacks to the newborn stage where I am waking up every 3 hours, only NOT because there is no actual feeding or poop or nightmares involved.

But.... look how stinking cute this one is when he is asleep-just the absolute sweetest.

We have been creative in the sleeping quest and I do not ever fight when there is a different sleeping choice because I don't care about the path we take, I just want the result.

Many times, they both sneak in there at some point.

Despite the fact that we have an entire bedroom with a full bed upstairs, nobody ever sleeps up there. Instead, they fight over the bunk beds, with Anderson usually winning out on the top one.

Easter

During one of Anderson's games, Noni took these 2 for an Easter celebration at the Y. Despite his creepiness, Max was really excited about meeting the Easter bunny,

Max & Levi joined forces at our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. Alas, Anderson is too old for these things and he was having way more fun at a Jump Jam party.

Max was SO pumped of is 25 egg haul! Also, I do not actually know any of the neighbors who were there and there were a few questions regarding his attire. Clearly, my neighbors are out of the fashion loop.

Max had an egg hunt at school! Also, he is loving his "wedding pants shorts" now-maybe our costume days are done?

The bunny visited!

Max's favorite thing: a lego set (duh)
Anderson's favorite thing: a giant hazelnut thing

I love, love Max's bed head in this pic.

*Also, Max cannot wait to use his really long net to catch fish deep in the ocean.

GG has us over for lunch on Easter and it was a great time, as always.

Easter egg hunt was in full force!

Goodies from GG!

March random pics

Anderson is not as interested in doing random Science things anymore (unless it is just him making a mess) but I did get him to join in the makin of some kind of slimy worm things. Max, as always, was an enthusiastic partner.

I is for Insects. His teachers told me they were terrified he was going to drop the ants all over the floor.

Random bounce house at the Y!

Also, it was definitely not this warm the rest of March....

Visits from these guys were the highlight of March.

Just such a cutie.

Apparently his teachers take more pics than I do as this seems to be the theme of the post.

ALWAYS building legos.

Yep, another day care pic.

Levi adds an extra layer of fun and enthusiasm to our lives when he visits!

Should I just do a "Show & Tell" post?

These girls do not get nearly enough attention in my blog posts, but they deserve all of the shout outs. Even though they provide some exra steps in our days, I cannot imagine our lives without them.

Tball practice outside turned into this....

We love visits from Baby Brother Levi!

And, sleepovers with cousin Reesie Piecie (how do you spell that?)

Nicole decided that a really fun way for us to send Chuck E Cheese off in style was a 3 kid party complete with a pinata, dippin dots, unlimted playtime, etc. It was a lot but also a fabulous way for us to decide that we are never going there again.

Oh, and she let my kids in the ticket blaster.

2 of the 3.
Back at her house, these 2 had the time of their lives busting balloons on the trampoline. Boys are so cheaply entertained.

There was also painting where Reese had acrylic paints and Max most definitely had washable paint.

Random quote from Max and some videos:

Max: The sky is blue because if it falls into the ocean it will be camouflaged.
