SUMMER 2023

 

Driving back from school basketball camp...

Anderson & teammates won 3on3 at camp. 
Craven Wings with Max's friends. 
Moose lives for football practices. 
I cleaned out so much at GMS.
KidTime camp...he hated it, but was glad his buddies were there. They went to the zoo, Underwater Sea & the Muse.

Max celebrated his 10th birthday at Wilderness with Hunter, Andrew & Graham. We also went to Soaky Mountain.
Dippin Dots for everyone. 
Someone gave me 4 wristbands to stay an extra hour & they literally closed down the park. 

And...opened it the next day. 
Took A and 2 friends to Soaky Mountain. 

Nothing like spending the night in a waterpark with 4 10 year olds. 



Moose lives for summer. 
We spent A LOT of time at various football trainings.
A new custard place opened close to us. 
Einstein's bagels with Lily & Pops for Father's Day!

These 2 decided to plan and cook dinner on their own-wings, salad, bread, dessert. 
They worked so hard. 
It was delicious. 
I brought Max & 2 friends with me to an all day basketball tournament in Greenville and it poured rain & they were so excited about these Grimace shakes from McDonald's.
A went to Top Gold with some friends. 
Max went bowling (and, landed at KOC with a sprained thumb.)
He sent me this pic when I was at work one day. 

I took Max & Marley to Soaky. 

Canoe trip with Max! It was freezing, but really fun.

A had a check up (and a shot) so we celebrated with crepes. 
Library park to catch things, like the old days.

It was so much fun- we sat in the suite & ate & cheered and then went to a hotel. Loved hanging out. 

Dr. Cogen check up-star patient!! We are so lucky. I cannot believe all of those years of patching worked.

Basketball tournament for a few days in June at the Convention Center. I did not have to pay for a wristband, so I let Max buy $6 Dippin Dots. 

Visit to Nicole's lake for a fun time, 
especially for the Bines.
Summer of fishing...!
4th of July Parade was so hot, but also so fun!
Moose lives for outings. 


Took these 2 to lunch and fancy cookies. 
Literally a million degrees.
4th of July cook out at Noni & Bop's-it was really fun and delicious. 


Grateful for the grandparents living close by to hang on holidays!

FULL TIME JOB IN THE SUMMER IS THE WORST! Max spent quite a bit of time helping me at work this summer.

MAY 2023

 

A had a b-ball tourney in Indy & he & I drove up thereon Sat & back home on Sunday. They did pretty well & won the Silver championship.

Max with Nelson, Hunter & Gideon after school one day. 
Family dinner date to Connor's to celebrate the school year, followed by ice cream at Baskin Robbins. 
Soaky Mountain with Max& Graham. 

A with Matthew, Brendan and Kyle. 
Me w/ Mays @ the 8th Grade Dance. 
Quick visit to see Uncle Curtis' new project at a roller coaster in Gatlinburg. 
Max's team ended the AAU season with a championship win in Gatlinburg. 

Max made me this very detailed card for Mother's Day & I love it. 


I really thought I was doing ok in May with ALL of the things for GMS & the boys and....then I forgot to pick Anderson up at the orthodontist one afternoon. Thankful for Noni. 
Learning how to mow. 
Max turned 10!!! Double Digits for my baby boy. 
Back to basketball....
I was in Indy for Mother's Day so Brandon took Noni &Bop & GG to lunch with Max. 


Two days in the entire year brought us to the same sports event-football conditioning at Farragut. 
TEN! Max is big hearted, funny, enthusiastic, kind, snuggly, slightly moody and always ready to play. He wanted a desk with a monitor & a chair for his birthday so he does not have to keep sneaking times to play Anderson's xbox.
